EUROLEAGUE WOMEN REGULAR SEASON DRAWN

The Draw for Women's Basketball elite club competition, the 2012/13 EuroLeague Women season, concluded on Friday in Munich, Germany.

The Regular Season will tip off on 17 October and will conclude on 6 February.

For the Regular Season, the 21 participating clubs were divided in three (3) groups of seven (7) teams.
The top five (5) teams from each group (if the Final Eight hosts are among the top five in their group) will advance.
If the hosts are not among the top five (5) in their group, the top four (4) in every group plus the two best fifth (5th) placed teams will advance.
A best-of-three Eighth-Final play-offs series in February will then decide who will join the hosts in the Final Eight.
The Final Eight will take place in a pre-determined venue and have its peak in the Final on 24th March 2013.
The host venue will come from one of the EuroLeague Women participants and it will be chosen after a bidding process, in fall this year.

Why don't you count Matovic and Verameyenka? but Fenerbahce's guards and small forwards are quite strong whereas Galatasaray's are still weaker and not many good names left from WNBA to transfer

I know that we have also Matovic and Vera. Verameyenka is ok but Matovic seems inadequate on the paper(Matovic loves Gala's game :D) and Gsaray's centers are more strong.

btw FIBA Europe announced that the hosts of the 2013 EuroLeague Women Final Eight was UMMC Ekaterinburg.

USA NT player Lindsay Whalen has signed one-year contract with Galatasaray. With this transfer the team has completed(maybe one European SG will be transferred too because we don't know when Alba will be able to play)

We have very deep 4-5 rotations, for me the best in Euroleague. Fowles, Wauters, Lyttle and Nevriye are among the bests in their positions in the world. However our SG position is just hopeless We don't have any scorer guard right now. Whalen is a good PG, and I have some doubts if she can play as SG beside Işıl. Probably in the league we will play mostly with these starting 5: Whalen-Işıl-Torrens-Nevriye-Fowles and the back up foreigner will be Sancho Lyttle. Maybe, it is enough in Turkish league but we will have big troubles in Euroleague with these guards. I hope a European SG will be transfered for Euroleague.
