The winner gains about 470 points to WTA ranking, meanwhile in Grand Slam winner gets 2000. Ula after quarterfinal should get about 120 points. Despite this defeating Marion Bartoli is a great achievement for her.

120 points is very small for a top player, but in the current rankings, it is the difference between 90th place and about 76th. Of course it is more complicated with other players earning points and expirations and so on... but she is moving in the right direction at least. -
