Eva Yaneva

From what I've read, the investigation has shown that no text messages were sent from Baltic's phone at that time.

Yes that's correct. The telephone operator confirmed that there are not any sented messages from Baltic's phone but Zarkova and Ruseva have received similar messages from Baltich number. It is almost certain that the messages are sent from a computer with entered Baltic's number. So the real guilty is most likely someone unhappy with the current situation but are not the girls. People talk that it may be one of the Nesic group. Widely known fact is that there was hidden agreement between Nesic and CSKA boss for youth girls Verka Nikolova to be imposed only CSKA players from Nesic in the national team and then to be sold abroad for good transfer amounts. For exemple Vasileva, Rabadzieva, Ruseva, Karakaseva and others.Of course this has brought good finances of both of them and when the federation changed Nesic their flow of money stopped. But of course there is nothing officialy confirmed. However the only confirmed thing is that almost every night in Varna Baltic and assistant Dimo Tonev were indulged in serious drunken soldred wich is not very positive fact for national coaches.

  • Did Baltic continue to work Nesic's team staff? I mean 2nd coach, scoutmans, phsyoteraphists etc. Most of the new coaches are changing their staff before start to work especially local trainers.Really interesting.

2011/2012 Eczacıbaşı VitrA - Super Cup Winner :cup:

  • No, the assistant of Nesic, Petar Dochev started to work with Baltic but leaves quickly because they don't liked each other very much and then Tonev was appointed as assistant.

  • That's such a mess. I really hope that the players weren't such assholes to stand behind this, sexual harassment is already difficult to prove and cases like this really don't help those women who actually do have to go through it.

  • The news about Baltic is discussed a lot in Azerbaijan sport media also, because he is coach of Lokomotiv Baku. There is another version I read from apasport.az that Bulgarian Federation wanted to fired out Baltic but in this case they must give compensation like 200000 euro. so they made smth like this. In this case they won't give any compensation. :S

  • Eva Yaneva said in an interview she hadn't receive any sms but she said Baltic is alkoholic and could have done thing drunken he doesn't remember later. Eva also said she had hurd of such rummours before. Initially the girls who got sms tought it was a joke or smth, maybe they though Baltic got drunken again and sent them.

The official version of the federation is Baltic is rleased before the scandal with sms due to poor results and those sms are under investigation from prosecutor.

IMO Baltic, Tonev and the whole federation are idiots and have to go

  • So the facts at the moment are:
    - Ruseva and Zarkova received dirty messages from Baltic's number
    - Phone company confirms that the messages were not sent from Baltic's phone
    - Baltic says he didn't send them and Tomev also defends him
    - Baltic and Tomev like to get drunk in the evening while being in NT
    - Players don't want Baltic as coach

Considering all the facts it sounds to me like a conspiration against Baltic, even though he certainly hasn't been behaving well either. In this situation there are no winners and there won't be any.

We had a similar situation last year in Germany. The coach of Youth NT was accused of sexual harrassment of some players and he got fired. After that there was never any news about it again and some months later he got a job as club team coach in 1st league, which in the end makes me think that in that case the accusations must have been wrong or at least exaggerated...

  • Why didn't Yaneva say anything before this whole situation, which could have helped to prevent it if it was true, instead of kicking someone who's already down? This is more than suspicious.

  • Yaneva tried to say some things actually. She poined out a couple of times she was about to inform federation how the things are going on in the team but they kicked her out before that. I don't think Yaneva is the biggest problem IMO. Jurnalist just asked her for a comment cause Dimo Tonev said very nasty words towards her when she was released from the team. Yaneva was moderate in what she said.

IMO the whole team does not like Baltic at all. Dimo Tonev is an idiot who's aim was to get an assistant coach position. Tonev supported Baltic when the Slovenian kicked out from the team Yaneva, Nenova and Philipova. Tonev gave some interviews just few days ago acusing these 3 player for not giving their best and losing on purpose the EL semifinal. Tonev even said now everything is under control, the team spirit is good and so on, but the team lost some matches in a row last couple of days without these players. So AFAIK the federation decided to release Baltic for poor results and just in the same time the scandal with sms appear. Yaneva is not even in Bulgaria now cause she is training with her club. Tonev was not happy that Baltic was kicked out, cause that would have meant the team succeded with their plan to kick Baltic out... The story with the sms is really akward. why the girls would have settled this if Baltic was already relesed as a coach.

Yeah I forgot to mention the little fact that Dimo tonev owns a hotel near Samokov where the NT played last matches AND stays at his hotel too

    Overall a very stupid situation.

  • I'm glad that Baltic is out, because so many players and coaches said his training methods are not good, and the results proof it. 5 losses from 5 games!
Since he is out the team have won 2 from 2 .........

About the CSKA players - they are just the best so far, and the coach Julia said it many times - it can't happen just with two teams CSKA and Maritsa Plovdiv..........

Радо Стойчев каза: Мизия, Тракия, Македония! Западните покрайнини - завинаги български!

  • Eva Yaneva will be out from Bulgarian NT for the next 2 years. This is the decision of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation. She also has to pay a fine 5000 EUR.
Reason: "unprofessional attitude as captain of national team".

  • And exactly which attitude was unprofessional?? :what:

    Any news about Baltic case?

Today Dancho Lazarov the chief of BVF said for the site gong.bg that the prosecuter is still working on the Baltic case but he doesn't know when to expect the results. He said also that what happened with Yaneva would be a good lesson for her and other volleyball players.

So now we are without our best player. :(

    Wild Wild West!

" There is nothing better than this"

  • Two years is a VERY long suspension. What could she possibly have done to merit such a harsh punishment?

Also, don't national federations have to approve player transfers to other countries? Therefore, is she prohibited from playing in foreign leagues?

  • Federation is so stuped! The suspended her cause she critisezes Baltic in media for not training the team proparly.
However federation realesed Baltic just 1 month later for poor results. And she got 2 years supension for that and a 5000 EURO fine!
    Morons!
Why don't they just admit that are using the NT to promote and sell players from their own clubs and as soon as they kick someone like her out - here we go - a new place for another girl!
These clowns turned the NT into teir own business and simply don't care for the team at all. Idiots!

Eva is not banned for playing in foreig leagues, just from the NT.
