Ruiz

    I think Yumilka Ruiz is not only a great player, but a great captain and person as well. I remember at the Olympics she hit Zhang Ping really hard in the face on an overbump and immediately put her hand up in apology. China called timeout and after they returned to court, she put her hand up again because she wasn't sure if any of the opposing players saw it. Great sportsmanship. Plus she has great jumping and spiking ability as well.

    Look this video, it happened in 2006 World Grand Prix, after a match between Cuba and Italy. At the final of the match, on the interview Marco Bonitta said that the cubans players had no respect and Ruiz said something like "Didn't we congratulated you after the game? Didn't we?".
    I don't speak spanish not even italian, but someone told me in the net what were they sayin'...

    I think Bonitta also has to take some responsibilty
    at least he shouldn't have said that infront of the media
    that shows he doesn't really respect the Cuban team as well...
