China NT 2011 (full roster)

  • I really hope that China can bring someone in better than Li Juan. She doesn't play with the consistency that you'd expect for a veteran and it seems like she doesn't make the big plays when there is a lot of pressure.

  • It is nice that Bian Yuaqin is not selected to roster. Her sets are disaster :white: The most simple setter i have ever seen.

2010/2011 Eczacıbaşı VitrA - Turkish Cup Winner :cup:
2011/2012 Eczacıbaşı VitrA - Super Cup Winner :cup:

  • Feng Kun is now in Thailand NT camping as an assistant trainer (short term I think).
China three young setters are going under a test this year, if they are not satisfied, Feng Kun probably will come back in 2012.

Middle Blocker Xue Ming is suffering a viral myocarditis, who will be absent from NT for at least three months. Xue Ming will say bye to Montreaux Masters, Yeltsin Cup, WGP and its final. it is still an X whether she could participate Asian Championship in September, Chinese Taipei.

Miss Wang Yimei has lost nearly 12kg body weight after a period of training, and slimmer Wang Yimei is confirmed to be an OH in China NT. Serve reception is her first try this season.

i may not be the tallest,
    the fastest, or the strongest,
but at least i can do one thing better than anyone else,
    to be me...

  I'd like to see her lost nearly 12kg body weight as soon as possible. I wonder how she looks like...

  • Emil She looks like a Princess of Egypt so I think You will love in Her since the moment when You will see Her.

  • Wang Yimei told the joulnalist she just lost 7-8 kg by herself.

12KG is what the Chinese Volleyball Association said in one article, but is obviously bragged.

  • Even 8 kilos is really good result. Hopefully she will not loose her power of attack

  • Hope she will not lose her power :box:

  • Hi, I'm new in this site and China is my favourite team. I would like to know if somebody has news from Zhou Suhong and Zhao Ruirui, if they will come back in the NT and what happened about them. Thank you so much :obey:

Sorry, it seems that both Zhao and Zhou will not join our NT this season. Zhao now is a professional novelist, she just accomplished her first novel which is a best-seller and is working on her second one. Zhou is doing some administration job in her hometown and learning in college, besides she need to take care of her husband.

  • Just a few days ago in Poland there was a gala for best sportsman of Poland. Well, we have a similar ceremony today, too. And the good news is that our women's volleyball national team won the title "Best Sports Team of 2011"!
Other nominees are China men's gymnastics team, China men's table tennis team, China diving team and China badminton team. All these teams won grand tournaments this year. So our volleyball NT winning over others is really worthy of celebrating.

    So, congratulations to our girls!

Beijing, China, January, 16, 2012 – China’s women’s volleyball team had a lot to celebrate on Sunday night after they picked up the Best Team prize at the 2011 CCTV Sports Personality Awards in Beijing.

The annual CCTV Sports Awards, recognized as the Chinese version of the Laureus World Sports Awards, is seen as one of the top events on the the Chinese sporting calendar. All 11 awards are decided by votes cast by 120 sports specialists.

The Chinese women’s team was the only side to win outstanding merit.

Following their lacklustre performance at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championships 2010 and a disappointing bottom eighth finish during the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2011 Finals in front of their home fans in Macau, the Chinese women's volleyball team, led by new coach Yu Juemin, bounced back to win the Asian Championship and bronze at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup 2011 in Japan, booking their place at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

“In 2011, the Chinese women’s volleyball team experienced ups and downs,” Yu Juemin said at the awarding ceremony. “But we have not lost our confidence, which spurred us to double our efforts and bounce back at the Asian Championship and the World Cup.

“This award is a great encouragement for the women’s volleyball team and we will make an even harder effort to prepare for the Olympic Games so as to repay your support.”
