Serbia NT 2014

  • I guess the starters will be the roughly the same as last year with Maja as setter, Rasic and Krsmanovic as MBs, Jovana as OPP, Cebic as libero and Mihajlovic and either Nikolic or Molnar as OHs. I still think it is a strong line-up, but I would have liked to have seen some new players too, especially at OH.

Blagojevic overlooked by Terzic as usual unfortunately.

  • its funny, everybody likes Blagojevic, I think that she is just average player and with her in team reception problem of Serbia will not change a lot. We do miss serious reception specialist and will be problem for us.

  • I do think Blagojevic will be helpful for Serbia's passing.. And I can not understand what is Molanar doing there again?! Has Terzic watched one simple game in either CL or Polish league that Atom played? She was awful, she has nothing to offer for this team anymore so why not call younger players.. Busa is there yes, but why not call Kecman.. she is an OH who can be a good all-around player.. or Cveticanin, she is a good attacking OH who is also young.. Serbia has a lot of young talented girls, but they need experience and games out of Serbian league to become better, just as Stefana was playing World Cup as a teenager

  • I think it's her choice.. I mean it's not a choice she is injured again, her injury is probably chronicle so she needs treatment very often. I know you like Maja, I like her too but I think right now Ana deserves the starting place.

And speaking about second setter, it must be Radenkovic.. I hope Terzic chooses her, she is young and very solid and we have already seen how can Bojana play

I prefer Zivkoviç instead of Radenkoviç. Bojana had very good season in Ilbank, she is not also very good setter but also strong blocker&server :obey:

  • Zivkovic is an okay setter considering that's she will stay as second. As first, h ell no, I would never pick her.

I'm sad for Antonijevic. She's a great setter with strong spirits :(

Blagojevic is nothing better in passing than Nikolic, unfortunately Molnar does have bad couple last season's in club and national team.

  • Serbia like Turkey is always playing with the same boring players...new talented OHs should be put together in the NT. ..no Molnar, no Seda anymore !..its interesting that Serbia doenst have any good slide middle attacker other than Krismanovic..Rasic-veljkovic very good duo but none of them is slide attacker..

Both Ninkovic and Stevanovic (who is not on the list) are very good slide attackers

  • right.. btw, do you think Ninkovic will be the starter after Krismanovic retires or they will prepare one of Rasic-Veljkovic as slide attacker ?

I don't really know.. Stefana is getting injured too often and Stevanovic has had a great season, she was great at blocking too, so if Terzic does not have some kind of his 'problems' with her i think she will get that role since she is younger and more perspective than Ninkovic.. And I am not really a fan of krsmanovic, I have nothing against her of course, she is a nice person and a good player but she is always just not enough for me.. she hits a slide here and there, blocks some ball$ but that's it.. nothing more.. I do think she is a good player don't get me wrong

both Rasic and Veljkovic have shown some slide attacks but they're definitely not into it..

  • Veljkovic and Rasic aren't really fond of slide attacks. I mean they could try and they would probably be pretty good slide attackers once they start to train on it, but they clearly are better attackers in front of setter. Krsmanovic wasn't a good slide attacker either when there was Citakovic on NT, but she became a good attacker after Citakovic's retirement on NT and some seasons in her own club. It's just a matter of time IMO, but to be honest I don't think they(Stefana and Milena) will agree to play as slide attackers.

Stevanovic's absence - totally lame  She just has shown that she's a strong fighter but never gets to play on NT. Too bad that Serbia has a lot of good and young MBs. Only Krsmanovic is quite old (29 years old) the others are still very young.

  • Anja Spasojevic got married.. :dance4:
