Wei made it!!! Yayyy
According to others' opinion,
Zeng may still replace Hui if ... maybe only it's "if".
Shen Jing-si lost the chance again ...
(Shen's years in NT: 2009, 2010, 2013-2016)
So the post I saw was correct. Zeng Chunlei
But Yay Ding Xia and Wei Quiyue!
I really respect Lang Ping as a coach, but the choice she made is worrying me... the two OPPs will be 22 and 19 And with very few experience with the NT... Yes they show globally better performances in GP than Zeng, but I wonder if they can deal with pressure during the whole competition
I have worries too because Zeng has been showing signs of recovering at the Grand Prix Final. I thought maybe Lang Ping would bring three OPPs.
But looking back, Jenny has ALWAYS made the right and best choice available. In 2014 WCH she used Yuan Xinyue, an 18 year old kid at that time.
In 2015 WC she used Zhang Changning, who, like Yuan, had never appeared in a major tournament before.
Therefore I have confidence and grounds to believe that this time will be no different.

The roster of U19 ACH:
S - Jiang Jing, Cai Ya-qian
WS - Qian Jing-wen, Ou-yang Qian-qian, Cai Xiao-qing, Wu Han
MB - Yang Han-yu, Zhang Yu-qian, Xie Xing, Gao Yi
L - Zang Qian-qian, Xu Jia-nan
4 MBs? Are you kidding me?
didn't the CHN team that won 2004 olympics have 5 MBs?????
didn't the CHN team that won 2004 olympics have 5 MBs?????
MBs in 2004: Liu Ya-nan (as a receival MB), Chen Jing (as a receival MB), Zhao Rui-rui, Zhang Ping
EDIT:
unless you thought Li Shan was a middle-blocker (many years ago)
The roster of 2004 OG:
S - Feng Kun, Song Ni-na
OP - Zhou Su-hong, Li Shan
OH - Wang Li-na (there is a rumor that her grandmother is Russian, so in the final...), Yang Hao, Zhang Yue-hong
MB - Zhao Rui-rui, Liu Ya-nan, Zhang Ping, Chen Jing
L - Zhang Na
MBs in 2008: Liu Ya-nan (as an OPP though in 2008, she replaced Wang Yi-mei's back site more), Zhao Rui-rui, Ma Yun-wen, Xue Ming, Xu Yun-li (thought to be redundant then)
Although there is not Li Ying-ying in this roster of 2016 U19 ACH,
the U19 Chinese NT still got the championship.
However, in the future, how many players will get the opportunity of joining senior NT?
Cai Ya-qian? Yang Han-yu? Wu Han? Zang Qian-qian?
Time will prove all.
If at last, China couldn't win Brazil,
whose mistakes are the most in Olympics 2016?
An Jia-jie and "the group" of Shandong?
"the group" of Jiangsu?
Gong Xiang-yu?
Injuried Wei Qiu-yue?
Yang Fang-xu?
Yuan Xin-yue?
Lin Li?
or Lang Ping?
Waiting for it

whose mistakes are the most in Olympics 2016?
Not bringing Zeng Chun-lei.
Lang Ping...
Taking a 19 year old OP that has just joined the team with no experience. And not taking the A team to the GP finals for the 3rd time.
If at last, China couldn't win Brazil,
whose mistakes are the most in Olympics 2016?
I think by now the above question or mere rhetorical one is annulled already... regardless whatever the outcome of the next stage(s).
Somehow I pictured deep in my thought beforehand (not only a hindsight) that CHN team still had some moderate chance in the QF vs BRA even though after suffered three losses in pool. I somehow contemplated that those losses might instead shake the entire team and wake them up... more over their core team had showed that they could match the BRA core one during the recent WGP (not that final 6 one). But of course the host and the defending champion was in huge favourite... and I was too chickened out to ever say out this seemingly impossibility. True that match could go to either side, it's just razor-thin win whereas some fortune might interact there as well...
Team China got the championship of Olympic Games!
In theory,
One team will participate in 2016 Asian Cup.
The roster is still unknown.

you mean A team....of course, the champion will have chance to participate in WGCC in Japan.
but we barely see Wei Qiuyue and Hui Ruoqi there according what Hui and Wei expressed during China Central television interview programme one hour ago.
i think Xu Yunli will not go with the NT either.

According to the humor of Wei's words, "this may be my last match in the national team.", the team that will participate in 2016 Asian Cup should not be Team A.
However, please see:

I am really happy Wei adds an Olympic gold medal to her other accomplishments She'll be missed on the international scene for sure
