Question about players jump height

  • What does it mean that both Takeshita (159cm) and Ognjenovic (183cm) block at 270cm? Does it mean that Takeshita goes high as much as Ognjenovic and just 3cm less than Krsmanovic

  • Usually these numbers are fake. At least Zé Roberto said that he doesn't put the real value of his players because that can confuse the opponents...

  • it's not easy to talk about hight of jump.
it's important to know the number of jump of each players but it's not the key on the game, u could find a smaller player who is much better blocker then the taller one, because of timing and good eye.
but in volleyball hight and jump hight are important.
u also have to take care of the regularity of the jump, u could find some players who could jump all the much the same hight nomatter if the match is long, and u also could find players who lose their hight during the match.
