Anyone can support a team that is winning - it takes no courage. But to
stand behind a team to defend a team when it is down and really needs
you, that takes a lot of courage.

  • As you know I watch only women volley, so I'll vote just in this category.

    What was it? :D

I also remember a story about Logan Tom from 2000 OG but this time after a match with Brazil.
Bernardinho said after watching Logan Tom play with USA team in Sydney, he talked to Tom after the medal round matches and offered for her to play for him in Brazil for team Rexona when the season resumed in January (2001). He said she (Logan Tom) and Erika Coimbra will make a good OH combination. When asked whether Logan Tom was coming to Brazil, he said Tom thanked him but politely declined. Bernardinho said "Tenho que tentar, não é?" (roughly translated to "I had to try, right?")

Female coach: José Roberto Guimarães (MVC - Most Valuable Coach  )

  • Female Players:

1). Logan Tom - Undeniably, the best american player as of the moment. Carried the U.S team towards the silver in Beijing.
2). Taismary Aguero - What a roller-coaster year for her. From having her team Italy upset by the US in quarters in Beijing, losing her mom moments before OG..Twas very tough yet im sure she's very strong. Wonderful player!
3). Lindsay Berg - Difference maker for the US team in Beijing. My favorite setter.

    Male Players:

1). Clayton Stanley - :obey: Undoubtedly, the star this year. MVP in Beijing.
2). Lloy Ball - One of the most important reasons why US have won a lot of games/tournaments this year.
3). Reid Priddy - My sentimental favorite.
