Something from the era before there was Datavolley and rally point system:
I came across a video of USA-Russia from 1992 Olympics on Youtube, and the commentators apparently were provided with some basic statistics. Irina Smirnova attacked over 100 balls and scored more than 55 kills in this match
Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rCwjo4akvc

Because the system does not just benefit big scores recorded, likely that Jelic has beaten its own record, Virna Dias in Atlanta in the semi against Cuba has made more than 40 points, and Ana Moser also in the semi WC 98 again against Cuba.

I prepared new ranking, gathering all posts from this thread and verifying all ranking, I won't delete and change Bartek's ranking from first post here. Every player is only once here with her best result I found here, I deleted all results from lower levels than first league level in every country, including Serie A2. I'm surprised that some player have relatively low scores here, probably many stats wreren't checked add new score, I'll update it I added scores from Asian, African, NORCECA and European Championships, unfortunately I don't know scores from South America
