I chose between him and Guidetti, but Guidetti still makes too many mistakes which sometimes cost victories, and Barbolini managed to prepare the team very well for World Cup after a very disappointing ECH which is not so easy...

1. Ekaterina Gamova - even though this year was a failure for Russia, it's certainly not because of Gamova. She's extremely consistent, and even though she's not the most versatile player there is, she's just damn good at what she does and always gets the job done. It always saddens me that she's pretty underrated compared to some players who don't have 30% of her abilities.

2. Carolina Costagrande - the absolute key for Italian success this year. Just like Aguero before her, she's the player who makes a difference between Italy as just another team and Italy as the front runner.

3. Milena Rašić - perhaps I'm biased, but the way she's burst onto the big scene lately is nothing but remarkable. Moreover, she was never hyped, she was never a media darling like some other young players who later slipped into mediocrity, she simply played the ball and let her game do the talking. I think it's safe to say that without her Serbia wouldn't have done what they achieved this year.

Coach: Hugh McCutcheon - his team plays the most spectacular volleyball currently.

2) Luciano De Cecco

He showed a lot of great sets in international competitions. He reminds me of Garcia: very smart player and dynamic sets. IMO the best setter in the world nowadays. He didn't won anything this year, but he takes Argentina to a higher levels with his sets.

3) Bartosz Kurek

Best scorer of Poland team. I don't like his style, but he scored a lot of points for Poland in international tournaments.

coach: Mauro Berruto: with his philosophy Italy grew a lot!

1).Osmany Juantorena: his spikes and his serves are incredible but he is very good also in receptionand defense...Trento won everything also thanks to him...

2). Michal Lasko: he did a great season in Verona, but with the national team he reached the top! His World Cup has been excellent!!

3). Luciano De Cecco: one of the best setters playing around now...but the best thnig is that he's very young!!

FEMALE

coach: Massimo Barbolini: after a very disappointing ECH he managed to give vitality to his team and won the World Cup, despite nobody would have believed that

1). Eleonora Lo Bianco: simply the best, won the Italian Championship with Bergamo, the World Cup with Italy, reached 510 matches with the National Team but over all she defeated a cancer!! Great player and great women!!

2). Carolina Costagrande: the best outside hitter of the world,at the World Cup she played perfectly after a quite bad ECH where she was playing as an opposite.

3). Hui Ruoqi: I didn't even konw her but as Isaw her at World Cup I liked her immediately; to me she will be one of the best players in the next future
