Volleyball Nutrition and Heavyweight Training

  • I read heavywheight and so my mind create a question XD could you suggest me a website where I can buy the best setters hw ball?

It's possible, you just have to believe in yourself and really not care what other people say, because I've heard it all.
If you let someone else dictate what you're going to do in life, then you won't get there.

Non so neanche come onestamente: in due mesi ero di nuovo in campo.

  • Give me an example of one animal that uses milk as an adult? And also cow's milk is very, very different that humans. Also don't forget that it is a big industry, not so easy to go against them. Almost all modern diets exclude dairy, at least the ones I've red. To me this looks like explaining to a communist in the 70's that capitalism is not bad and it is the better model.

Humans without lifting experience who were fed 3.7 litres cow milk daily and trained heavily 3 times per week with 3-5 sets and 3-5 reps of basic barbel exercises - low bar squat, deadlift, press, power cleans, increased fat free mass up to 20 kgs for three months. That's more than moderate dose of Testosterone could do. So far there are no experiments on more developed mammals.

  • Raylight!
    Drinking cow milk is UNHEALTHY!!!
Or you consider gaining muscles more important that damaging players health in the long run!???
3,7 L per day :white: :cheesy:
This is ridiculous in all sens of the word  X(
why don't you read some of the MODERN MEDICAL RESEARCHES on cow's milk and all the deseases it is related!

  • Perfect body fat percentage for volleyball players is between 11% and 14%, so they need body fat. And I said it to you before, volleystella explained it to you thoroughly and perfectly - the sport volleyball doesn't require huge muscle mass! And I say to you 11823918237 times - the specialists know about your milk, but they don't use it because they know some things that you and I don't know and are better than milk. Or maybe they give Niki milk - you don't know. What we know is that they are doing what could be done so that Niki Penchev's fitness it at best level.

Who cares about bf percentage, this is not bodybuilding, but strength training. About muscle mass look how Grozer or Mikhaylov look or how Russian youngsters look compared to our walking sticks

Here is roundtable about the squat with experts on it:

I think it is tolerable for couple of months and I also think that cow milk is very healthy for you if you don't have problems with casein /allergy/ The research in favor of milk vastly outshines the evidence of problem caused by it from what I've read in the last year. GOMAD is how powerlifters got big in the pre-steroids era. Milk for the victory :win:

Because you mention Grozer: when he played in Friedrichshafen, Stelian Moculescu forbade him to do several weightlifting exercises because "I need a volleyball player, not a bodybuilder".

  • As nadjeda said too much milk ISN'T healthy for volleyball weight programs, 3,7L is a joke. I know this as former volleyball pro player ;) Maybe it's good for gaining muscles if u want to get weight/muscles to look nice on the beach but surely not vball players. So please stop with this so called volleyball lecture

I don't know what you've read about milk, but it is not the CASEIN the problem! It is the LACTOSE! more than 60% of people on the planet are LACTOSE intolerant, their bodies simply stop producing the necessary enzymes to assimilate it in their stomach after age of 3 when people normally stop being breastfeed! You can only imagine what drinking of 3-4 litters per day will cause to your body if you do not have the enzymes to digest it!

And this is only one side of the negative effects of cow's milk over the human body! There are a lot more which I am sure you can find out! Reading only bodybuilding magazines does not help informing you on topic! Read MEDICAL RESEARCHES.

I think you don't know that all the people in this conversation know almost everything about squatting.

I'll stop arguing with you. You're like a wall - you don't listen, you only talk the same things. And please don't write now: "I won, I talk with facts, you only attack me and finally gave up". I can say the same if I repeat 1283192873 times: "Triglav kran is the best volleyball player ever" and you give up arguing with me. Just go preach your magic somewhere else...

  • I gave you friendly written paper, I didn't give you professional expertise on exercise physiology on purpose, trying to stay on normal, not scientific conversation that can puzzle some readers. Read it carefully, it is good start in the topic of squatting.
Mathias, I think Moculescu doesn't understand much about bodybuilding or strength training if he said so. Ask Russian youth players how they train.

So you only got it now??? Did it take another argument for you to realize it? ;) Just ignore the guy's posts and this becomes a normal place again!

Thank you for offending me, mr YavorD. You actually offend yourself with that statement

  • Please anybody here, can you squat double your weight? If you can't your opinion = 0. Mr Yavor, how are your lifts? :D

It is interesting how people who know NOTHING on certain topic and have JACK SHIT OF EXPERIENCE on it get judgemental on other people who walk the walk and even ignore them. It is ok to argue on volleyball, since my knowledge is outside of the sport, but to argue without arguments ON MY GROUND You are being ridiculous here :aww:

  • I know some things about bodybuilding, but enough to be sure that sports training is very, very different than pure weightlifting. Have a cousin who was proffesional rower, 2,05 tall, 100kg. They never trained with more than 60-70 kg. on bench press or deadlift or whatever else. But they were making squats, bench press for like half an hour with 50kg, and they had a minimum amont of moves made. So, it is very, very different way of training for every sport. You can't imagine someone over 2m to be able to be lifting the same weight as someone 1.70. I'm 1,90 and I had hard times with weights compared with smaller guys, their move is shorter than mine, not to mention someone 2.05+. The guys that could do squats with double their weight were pure bodybuilders and they couldn't jump high, believe me :).

This is endurance training for an endurance sport. Volleyball is very depdendant on power. You are right about the height being a problem both for the squat and the bench press, but it actually can help with the deadlift even with the longer path to lockout.

P.S. Some of the volleyball players may not be suited to squat actually (bad femur/tibia ration), but everyone who can benefit from it, should benefit. Proffesional coaches can program it off season or even on season, at least for injury prevention / denser bones, better ligaments/

Double bodyweight squat is for average people, athletes have higher standards, especially professional ones

Yes, of course, no one is ever capable of offending Mr. Lachezar The All-Knowing. And Chuck Norris, of course. They are the two almighty!
