2013 / 2014 Transfer News

  • As usual, the weird transfer policy of Belogorie made me look for some information in Russia regarding the future of one of their brightest talents Igor Kobzar. With the signings of Travica and the return (I lost count already) of Lesik, Kobzar seems to be in a difficult situation himself. It turned out his contract with Gazprom-Ugra is due to expire this summer, but the club claims they could keep the setter for another six months. Where Kobzar is going to play is still a question and it is really bad for someone his age to have to go through all these issues. Problems with Ugra, then disallowance in Zenit, not much play time in Belogorie... Teams are already recruiting, I hope he doesn't lose the chance to find a new club. Otherwise, Gazprom-Ugra is interested in the newly called-up NT setter Sergey Antipkin from Grozniy.

  • Germany:

VfB's captain Joao Jose is going to leave after 9 seasons spent in Friedrichshafen. He is set to focus on new things in his life, finishing his university degree back in Portugal being one of them. He states firmly he doesn't quit on volleyball yet, so most probably he will join a Portuguese club. Moculescu already recruited Svetoslav Gotsev, nothing else, however, is known for the time being about the other players.

Activity in TV Buhl. Bas van Bemmelen did not re-sign his contract. The Dutch will be replaced by Andri Aganits (Estonian Junior NT, MB, 19-year-old, 207 cm, Selver Tallinn (Estonia)). Aganits was one of the players to contribute to the Estonian Junior NT success in the WCH qualifier in Sofia, scoring 10 blocks against Bulgaria (3-2) and helping his team win against Germany (3-0). Tomas Kocian (Slovakian, setter, 192 cm, evivo Dueren) also joins the club. The starting setter Axel Jacobsen renewed his contract with the team, the same did the two opposites Marvin Prolingheuer and Valters Lagzdins, as well as the Hungarian libero David Molnar. TV Buhl is going to play in the 2013-2014 CEV Cup.

  • Alexander Shafranovich to Nantes

  • Samica to Cannes.

Rumors about Vladimir Nikolov back in France in Lyon.

  • Michał Bąkiewicz is now officially leaving Skra Bełchatów, which may mean he's gonna come back to Olsztyn (unless someone else steals him along the way).

  • Well, pretty risky. His last season was like a neverending treatment. Of course, he came back at the end of it and showed quite nice game, so he should be really useful without any health problems.

  • Manuel Coscione is the new setter of Castellana, Falaschi will leave

It's possible, you just have to believe in yourself and really not care what other people say, because I've heard it all.
If you let someone else dictate what you're going to do in life, then you won't get there.

Non so neanche come onestamente: in due mesi ero di nuovo in campo.

  • very good transfer, the 6 of Resovia: Tichacek, Schops, Nowakowski, Kosok, Ignaczak, Veres, Achrem:)

And then there are Lotman, Buszek and Penchev on the bench. What's the point? One of them would be made redundant and used as a training partner only.

  • Congratulations to Penchev, he is officialy screwed.

Buszek may leave, AZS Olsztyn wants him.
