Very interesting news from Cuba.
Cuban federation met 3 players who legally emigrated from the island or left the selection. One of them is Fernando Hernandez .According to Hernandez ,the other two are Raidel Hierrezuel (who is still in Cuba) and Osmany Juantorena (left the island legally with marrying with an Italian). So if they want they can return but they must leave the clubs. Hernandez says he hopes return to Cuban national team when his contract finishes with the Japanese team. (in May) He also says the officials are also planning to meet with Yoandy Leal and Henry Bell.
They are not going to meet athletes who are defected.

The dream is over. The door is still closed for Cuban players.
The new president of Cuban federation, Ariel Sainz Rodriguez, blames 'a subversive campaign' as the main reason of the collapse of national team.
He thinks there is an ugly campaign from various countries(!). They don't show any respect to Cuba and they are purchasing Cuban players to abandon national team. And most importantly he says 'with those who have decided to leave the national team, the Cuban Federation maintains no bond, regardless of the reason'
So according to new president, the reason of failure is all because of foreign conspiracy and there is no comeback -
Did Leonardo Leyva Martinez get puertorican citizenhood? I saw a picture of him where he has PUR NT jersey. He is one of the biggest cuban talents.

"We are in contact with clubs interested in signing Cuban players. Now we just evaluate the process for an organized manner can yield the fruits we hope, "said Sainz.
The sports leader said that the leagues of Japan, Indonesia and Turkey are greater possibilities for insertion of Cuban volleyball players of both sexes.
"We have the possibility of some players leave in January to reinforce some clubs in some leagues of interest. I there are different sections that clubs must meet, but we are convinced that in January the Cuban presence in international settings is very possible, "he said.
He discarded the moment the hiring of Cuban players in premier league as those of Italy and Russia and said that the Cuban Federation designed a program leagues thinking "now conform to the performance level of our players."
"The Cuban team was in transition, players are being progressively developed and do not want to give a big jump, we want to be creating an atmosphere in our players to adapt to the system that is completely new to them," he argued.
The federation said that the world runner-Italy-2010, Rolando Cepeda and Osmany Uriarte, Javier Jimenez and Alena Rojas are among the figures who could be hired.

FIVB agree to ban Cuban volleyball players who have defected for 4 years. News rules will also make it difficult to change nationality (I'm not sure if there will be additional rules about it) Cuban volleyball federation president Sainz said they got serious support from FIVB on nationality change.
Ariel Sainz (sorry google translate) ;Quote"The FIVB has been very serious with full support to consolidate all this in conjunction with our legal department and its determination to disable for four years on those who engage in such attitudes "
"Neither the FIVB favors change federation of origin of the players, all consolidate our procurement process, ensuring that the Cuban athletic heritage with defending the interests of its people, regardless of club where they are to be maintained, and security to continue working to consolidate our sports tuition, ".
http://www.radiohc.cu/noticias…ugar-en-ligas-extranjerasLast part is important because call it 'Juantorena rule' or 'Leon rule' whatever it is,FIVB won't approve nationality change easily. Juantorena is a done deal but perhaps Leon's case will be more complicated now.
