2017 - 2018 transfer rumours

  • This reminds me of a bizarre situation back in 2008, with what is known now as Zenit Kazan. They (narrowly) won the CL and... then the management kicked out the "difficult" head coach (Viktor Sidelnikov) in favour of a young promising Alekno. It then took three attempts (and quite a bit of $$$) for the prodigy specialist to qualify for the F4. Serniotti is an atypical Italian I must say, must be from the North of the country.

  • Kurek apparently is staying in Skra, contract ready but the fact of him signing it depends on new coach. Maybe the reason why they want to save up money on settler by investing more in Janusz next season with the support of Lomacz or other way around ;)

Just read that "Berlin's Alekno" might be australian coach Luke Reynolds, currently assistant coach of Mark Lebedew at Jastrebzkie Wegiel. That surely would not be a very glamorous solution, which doesn't automatically makes it a bad move. Future will tell..... It is also mentioned in the article that Ruben Schott is almost certainly moving west, towards United Volleys RheinMain.

WoV is writing that polish opposite Bartlomiej Boladz (Radom) will join Friedrichshafen. Not sure, whether this is a done deal though. If true, this would mean that czech opposite Michal Finger leaves VfB.

  • Deal with Bołądź is possible, because he leaves Radom (he'll be replace by Filip then) and I've read that he will probably play abroad like Konarski :wavy:

  • OK, someone injected a goss yesterday that Grozer Grozerov is moving to Dinamo Msk in place of Bakun who in turn goes to Belgorod. Belgorod is losing a libero Martynyuk who moves to Novosibirsk. Rodichev from Ugra apparently joins him there. There's still blah-blah that Novosibirsk is after Grozerov too but something tells me Moscow can win the fight. I wonder - if this business is true of course - if Grozerov will follow the ball-basket-pushing career a-la Zaytsev in Moscow or he will be able to regain his old shape and keep Kruglov on the bench. Dinamo is also most likely kicking out Biryukov and Ilinykh.

  • Luca Vettori close to Trento.

  • Perugia is close to De Pandis and is thinking about Fabio Ricci to replace Buti. Bari's contract is over. :dance6:

I lost De Pandis from my radar in the last 2 seasons, I hope he's still on his best shape; I loved him in Cuneo, Latina and Forlì. :cheesy:

I was hoping they get a young italian OH who can play either wings and has decent reception. As much as I want to believe Zaytsev is probably going to improve on the attack at the left side, I'd rather want to be on the safe side. Maybe it's time for Perugia to give youth some chance. They are far too old with their local players.

I also hope they keep Berger. Maybe Kaliberda will never come back who is the better player but having some kind of familiarity is never bad for a team.

I think that Zaytsev could be ok also with being opposite in Perugia...
But Pasini said it seems impossible that Sirci will let Atanasjievic go.

Finding a world class OHs in Italy is like locating a needle in a haystack. I mean if Sirci wants to keep on losing then he should keep doing this again. :white:

  • Luca Vettori close to Trento.

Luca is the last thing in mind when considering as a replacement upgrade for Stokr.

Trento really needs a strong OH. I couldn't think of any that's available but Kaziyski.

  • I'll try to make a summary of Trento market, helped by the last article on Dal15al25.

MBs: it seems possible that Piano will arrive, with Mazzone going in Modena. If Kozarmenik arrives, one between VdV and Solè will leave, probably Solè.
My opinion: I don't think Piano is stronger or better adaptable to Trento games than VdV or Solè, so I'm not sure to understand his choice to go in Trento without being sure of being titular/Trento choice to let Solè/(VdV) go for Piano. Trento needs strong attacking MBs imho...
I was wishing for Piano to be titular in 'his' Modena and - since they need an italian MB and the fans really loves him - I thought he was going to stay there after all; the fact he isn't staying as Vettori (and as Lorenzetti last year...) despite loving Modena make me suspect they had problems with the society... but may be I'm wring and he will stay, or he is leaving to be titular in Trento ;)

OHs: if they can they will find a substitute for Urnaut; they want Kovacevic (which would be great! It's an old new but may be I forgot to post it here) or possibly a complete and top OH also strong in reception to allowe Trento fast game. The only name I can come up is Kubiack, other ideas?
If Kaziyski will come back in Italy he may goes in Modena with Rado; there aren't rumors about him in Trento bus considering his past never said never; I guess he could be an option in case neither Kovacevic or Kubiack (?) will come. I didn't undesrtand if about these two they have to wait to see if a sponsor they are in contact with will sogn or not.
It seems Antonov will stay having another year of contract; I wished for him to be titular somewhere else, but selfishly I'm glad if he is staying ;)
Tiziano Mazzone will probably go on loan (I don't no where) if Oreste Cavuto (Bergamo, A2) will arrive.

Opposite: the rumors of Vettori are still strong; Stokr will probably go abroad, while Nelli (may be just on loan) will probably be titular somewhere else (even Modena is possible, but Sabbi is their first choice).
So they'll probably need a secon opposite, an idea is the Cernokchocev (...) from Perugia. I hope for a young italian, no idea who though.

Setter and libero: Gianneli is staying for sure and it seems also Colaci (Perugia is interested), the seconds I've no idea. I really hope the second libero Chiappa is staying, may be in the future he will help Colaci as he did with Bari and eventually will become Trento first libero, who knows...

  • I'll add 3 things about Modena said by Stoytchev; two of these are related with Trento market too.

    - Vettori chose NOT to stay in Modena for sure
    - they're trying to keep Piano
    - he wants to talk to Peteic which he (Rado) highly respect

    Quote

Vettori ha rifiutato di rinnovare – ha aggiunto Radostin – e va rispettato. Piano proveremo a tenerlo e devo parlare con Petric che stimo“.

There are still rumors about Modena trying to hire Zaytsev despite he declared he will stay in Perugia. It's seems clear, though, that wheter he will stay or leave it's up to Sirci that holds the contract.

It seems also probable that Sirci will say bye bye to Bernardi (oh fly, again! :aww: )
A possible alternative could be Daniele Bagnoli. Which is probably better than Bernardi, to be clear, but imho Sirci should stop changing coaches twice per years and embrace a real project...

  • Vectors
Thanks to Google Translate for that, I guess

I forgot to say that Urnaut has many offers, including from Modena, Milano and Verona.

Plus, it seems that to have Kovaceciv in Trento we don't have to hope for a new sponsor, but if the new sponsor will arrive they'll try to hire the complete and strong in reception top OHs I wrote about before.
May be to have Kovacevic without spending a fortune (I think he is still in contract with Verona) they can exchange him and Urnaut.

Another website (a new one, VolleyNews) seems to say that an exchange Nelli-Vettori (plus may be Piano-Mazzone) is quite possible.

Rumors about Botto in Modena (from Monza), while Tj DeFalco may go from NCAA (he was the MVP) to Monza.
