Brazil - Superliga 2016/2017

  • Thanks, please keep on posting these nks when available.

Pretty relaxed match for Sada. Looks like they play with reduced intensity and still they are in complete control.
This opposite from canoas is really small :white:

Yeah, Sada could play with their bench and they'd still beat Canoas. I expect 3-0 in the next games as well.
By the way, it seems Canoas' OPP is only 1.87m :what:

  • No problem, I will keep posting. Also you can always subscribe for that channel and can check when they have upcoming and live streaming. ( They always post the upcoming streams with date and time, which is really nice). All the games from on now will be televised, let`s hope this youtube channel does not get shutdown.

Thanks, please keep on posting these nks when available.

  • Quarterfinals 1st Round:

    SESI-SP - Minas Tênis Clube 3-2 (20/25, 23/25, 25/23, 25/23, 18/26)
    MVP: Douglas Souza (OH) stats

    JF Vôlei - Funvic/Taubaté (27/29, 23/25, 18/25)
    MVP: Wallace Souza (OPP) stats

    • I couldn't watch the matches, but it seems the bottom teams really did give the favorites a lot of work, as expected. JF Vôlei, although a very young team, is a very solid group. Minas x SESI seems to have been extremely balanced and I cannot believe Minas blew the 2-0 lead :aww:
    • Otávio (MB) from Taubaté is imo the best MB and the sleeper beast in the league this year. I'll be shocked not to see him in the adult NT full-time, perhaps even as a starter. Dude's having a fantastic season in every aspect and I'm extremely pleased to see how he's developed since leaving Minas.
  • Quarterfinals 1st Round:

    Montes Claros - Vôlei Brasil Kirin 1-3 (23/25, 27/25, 25/27, 23/25)
    MVP: Rodrigo Pinto (OPP) stats

Scores were as tight as the could be, but it wasn't really a good match imo, lots of unforced errors all around. Montes Claros had everything to take it to a tie-break being ahead 18-13 in the fourth set, but then had a massive choke and ended up losing in four. Both Luan (OPP) and Robinho (MB) are struggling with injuries (abdominal muscle and knee respectively), so I'm not sure how much it's gonna affect their next perfomances.

  • Douglas Souza (OH, SESI-SP) is out for the rest of the season due to an abdominal injury. :white: It'll take him about 3 months to recover.
All of their other OHs (Fábio, Murilo and Vaccari) are also either injured or coming back from injuries, so this shall be interesting.

Overall a much better match than Taubaté - SESI. BK actually gave Sada quite a bit a trouble, especially from the service line. Maurício Souza (MB), for example, ended the second set for BK with 3 consecutive aces. Hopefully they can keep this level at home next week!
