I think we got the easiest possible group 8)

  • ymmm I got confused here. This Europen qualification is actually pre-qualification, right? And we will have final groups for the final qualifications? :what:

and Asian qualies are final, right?

Yes, this is the final round for Asia, group winners qualify, we had two rounds of pre-qualification in Asia and these 16 teams advanced to the final round.

but in Europe you have to wait for European Championship (since Gold and Silver medalists will qualify directly) and the second round (actually repechage) to know the final groups after.

  • If Iran can't beat those 3 teams, I would be stunned.

Australia and China should go through easily also.

Japan and Korea will have a battle for the final Asian spot.

  • Last southamerican spot will go to Colombia or Chile.

Venezuela is a mystery. I havent seen them playing since many months ago.

  • i watched a little bit of the SK-qatar match. it seemed that several of qatar's players were foreigners? one was named john cheko (african?) and another renan ribero (brazilian?). other players had arabic names but maybe they were also foreign? is there a limit on how many foreign players a team can have?
