    On Rayan Millar's blog I found 2 games of İst.B.Şehir Belediyesi (IBB). They are recorded by one camera. First one against Halkbank is without commentary, in second one (against SGK) Rayan Millar added his own commentary.

    A summary of last match Cup of Turkey. From Ivan Contreras blog.


    Arkas looses the match but takes the Cup!!!!
    5 points is what separated Ziraat from being Cup Champion in this 2008-2009 edition of the Turkish Cup. All the Ziraat players knew that after the great oportunity they let go last week things could get complicated when they faced Arkas again for the second and last time to decide to Cup Champion.


    Things started great for Ziraat and they were able to take the first set with a comfortable score of 25-18. That was a great start since every point could and would at the end be very important.


    The second set continued in the same manner but as soon as Ziraat took the lead and went into the first technical timeout with a 8-6 score and what seemed to be a comfortable pace to increase the lead and take that second set, all of a sudden the lights went off! The game was delayed for about 45 minutes and when the match resumed all that momentum has vanished from the red side and Arkas took advantage of it by building a lead of their own and went ahead into the second technical timeout with a score of 13-16. Things got very interesting at the end of that second set and it became a sideout battle but at the end Arkas finished the set with a block and a score of 27-29.


    The third set was a close one but Ziraat seemed to recover well from loosing the second one and fought Arkas all the way and were able to take that 3rd set with a score of 26-24. At this point every point started to become very important. That fact was much more aparent when that 4th set arrived. From the beginning of the 4th set Arkas took the lead and never looked back taking it with an impressive score of 25-19.


    At this point and going into the final set of the Turkish Cup, everybody in Ziraat knew that we had to win the set with a very hard score to attain. It was like this: win the 5th set 15-6 or better and you win the Cup, win it 15-7 and you would have to play a golden set, win it 15-8 or worse or loose that 5th set and Arkas is the Cup Champions. Well it was a hard set, Ziraat took it at the end but with a score of 15-12, 5 points short of the goal thus then Arkas is the Champion.


    Ziraat played great tonight but they lost an excellent chance last week in Izmir to seal the deal and make their job a lot easier when leading 2-0, loose that first match in 5 sets. One can see that Arkas has more experience as a team when it comes to play at a high level for longer periods of time and that comes from more tough matches that they have had as a group during their European Campaign.


    Ziraat has a lot to be proud of by making it so far and playing at the level they showed against a great team that is Arkas. The road was not an easy one having to go through IBB, then Galatasaray and then Police to get to the final. Now it is over and they can focus primarily and solely on the Turkish Championship which is still far from over.


    There is still one last match in the regular season for Ziraat when they face Polis this coming Saturday. They are still thinking of not losing any important points in order to finish second. And then start with the playoffs. The end of the season promises to be a spectacular one. Let's all enjoy it.
