  • Skra just looks unbeatable in the Polish championship with a roster like this! It would be interesting to see them in the 'group of death' in the IECL this season!

Yes, Skra is very strong, but I think Jastrzębie is capepable of being its biggest opponent.

Anyone can support a team that is winning - it takes no courage. But to
stand behind a team to defend a team when it is down and really needs
you, that takes a lot of courage.

  • Video cameras will help referees, it is the end of argue on a court.
Advanced talks between PlusLiga and Polsat are in progress, and the end of them will mean the possibility of checking referee’s decision on a monitor and changing it! This is the beginning of a real revolution, not only on Polish courts. If the campaign succeeds, the world federation FIVB, which will observe avidly the attempts in Poland, may follow our league’s example.
    - It is settled that the idea is going to be tested during the final tournament of the Polish Cup. If it is evaluated positively, and I am sure it is, we will provide referees with video cameras which will help them in play-off in PlusLiga – says the president of Professional League of Volleyball SA, Artur Popko. – Advanced talks with Polsat are in progress but we are convinced that this TV will manage to show everything perfectly.
The idea with video cameras has a lot of supporters. In March, when it appeared for the first time during the final tournament of the Polish Cup in Poznan, it was said that referee are against this idea. Now Andrzej Lemek, who was the chief of Polish referees until recently, is an enthusiast of the idea. – We are definitely for. As far as I know, talks with Polsat are on the right track. Everybody agrees that, before we apply the system in play-off, we need to test it somewhere. The Polish Cup will be perfect for the first test – says Lemek. – Referees are willing to accept the help.
