    Tours and Sète will end 1st and 2nd (and likely in this order) but almost anything is possible for the teams ranked 3 to 7.
    Rennes, Toulouse and Paris are fighting for the 8th spot in playoff. Should Paris be unable to reach the playoff, this would be a major upset and the first time since the creation of Paris Volley back in 1998. To me Rennes is in a slightly better position than the others. Toulouse is dealing with injuries, and Paris is both playing terrible, and has to play against Tours, Cannes and Tourcoing.
    The other fight is for the 13th spot in the ranking because the 3 worst teams will go down to ligue B next season. Ajaccio scored huge points winning in Tourcoing and losing to Cannes after 5 sets. Alès having played one game more, and Avignon having a very tough schedule, Ajaccio has probably the best chances right now. But so many since happened this season, that everything can change in a blink. Even Narbonne has a chance to be back in the race if they defeat Ajaccio saturday.

    With 2 rounds remaining, Tours is sure to be the 1st and Sète 2nd.


    For the other ranks, nothing is yet done. Rennes has got a little head on Toulouse and Paris for the last place in the playoff. 2 points is not a lot, but it seems unlikely that Rennes let this place slip and Paris or Toulouse make a comeback.
    For the 13th place in the ranking, Ajaccio also got a little head on Avignon and Alès. I doubt that Ajaccio will now spoil their chance to remain in ligue A, but who knows ...


    The most interesting is undoublty the 3 to 7th rank battle. There you can't make any prediction. There are so many things to consider.
    First, some teams might want to avoid the 4-5 spot (probably meaning a 1/2 final against Tours), so some might prefer to get the 6th or 7th spot if they can't reach the 3rd. Then some might want to make a good physical preparation for the playoff, that might cost them some points against teams like Avignon or Rennes who are desperately fighting for some other reasons, and since the ranking is so tight, losing only one point in a tiebreaker may result in losing one place in the ranking. And most important, some teams like Poitiers, Tourcoing and Cannes (supposedly having a better roster) are having troubles lately (injuries in Tourcoing, Rouzier not in very good shape in Poitiers, Cannes ... Well, Cannes being Cannes!). So it's almost impossible to figure out which team is currently the best, and which teams want to fight for the best spot until the end !

    At 8:30 pm (local time) there will be the second 1/2 final: Tours vs Poitiers.
