Peruvian League 2010

  • Peru men’s league set to begin

The 2010 Men’s Peruvian League was official launched on Monday after the Peru Volleyball Federation (FPV) held a press conference in Lima to open the season.

A total of nine teams will compete in this year’s competition, with the first round of matches taking place on Wednesday night local time. All teams will play each other during the first phase of the competition before the highest ranking teams progress to the final round later this year.

"The Peru Volleyball Federation has been working hard to develop men’s Volleyball in the country,” Luis Linares Pablo, Director of the FPV Sports Organization, said at the press conference. “This year, we expect to exceed the achievements made during the 2009 tournament with a better league and increased sponsor and media involvement.”
