About pro B league, you can find informations on the multisports's board . (check the "ligue B" topics)
Here is the transfer news topic. (no rumors on it, everything in it has been officially announced)
I don't know how much familiar you are with LNV.fr but you have links to clubs websites on every club page.

And about the ligue B ranking, I think the easiest is the wikipedia page .

By the way, Chaumont has a great fanclub with a rather active forum.
If you have any questions on the club, I'm pretty sure someone would be able to answer them there.

    Interesting facts:

The most surprising result is the victory of Nantes at Montpellier. Also Rennes was not able to win in Corsica at Ajaccio. But Ajaccio is in good shape (they proved it last week with a 4th place at the tournoi de la ligue), and they are always a tough team at home.
Otherwise, the most interesting result is without any doubt the 3-2 victory of Poitiers at Paris. Of course a good thing for Poitiers, yet I'm curious to have a look at the stats to understand a bit what happened in this game.
The other interesting game was Tours against Beauvais, Tours proved to be much stronger, yet there was a lot of mistakes and the team need to work a lot.

One last thing, Tourcoing won in straight sets against Nice. It might be completely logical for anyone not aware of Tourcoing's situation. Due to financial difficulties, the team did not hire a third outside hitter this summer. Worse, they had to let go Thiago Aranha, and therefore the only professional receiver of the team is Kristian Knudsen. Thus it was decided to have the captain Alexandre Sloboda (37) play outside hitter. (because of his age, he played before the libero rule, and therefore is a decent receiver)
But for this 1st game, Knudsen and Czech opposite Rejlek were not allowed to play because of late registering. Therefore, the team play (and won) against Nice without any professional outside hitter and without any professional opposite ! 8|

  • I don't know when they will have the right to play.
Last season, some teams with the same trouble had to wait for the 3rd game before registering every players.

  • Hi! Anybody knows if there is livescoring for French League? Thanks in adavance ;)

    here, on left side :win:

    That's it.
A link appears at the time of the game in the scorebox you can see on the left side.
When a game is not played the same day as others, somtimes, the link doesn't appear even if livescoring is done by the home club. in this case you will be able to find it at the address : http://lnv.fr/index.php?idrub=339&idmeta=218&idlang=1&idsite=1&match=??????

Just replace the "?????" in the end of the link by the number of the game that can be found there: http://lnv.fr/index.php?idrub=26&idmeta=19&idlang=1&idsite=1&idchampionnat=1

For example, the link for the game Rennes vs Tours on friday evening (that I will attend thanks to a friend of mine living in Rennes) is going to be:
    http://lnv.fr/index.php?idrub=339&idmeta=218&idlang=1&idsite=1&match=lam011

By the way, a new french webTV, lorenzi TV , started to broadcast live VB on the internet with a pay per view system. (3.99€ for the game live, 1.99 on VOD. looks like part of the coupe de la ligue final Tours vs Cannes is curently free if you register)
Lorenzi TV previsoulsy broadcast both tournoi de la ligue (league A and league B) and first day game Tours vs Beauvais.
Next week they will brodcast Tours vs Poitiers. The streaming quality is really good, comments are quite good, but unfortunately, it looks like lorenzi TV can't make replays so far. (a bit disappointing for a sport broadcast.)
Anyway this is the only way to watch french league game so far, and for a Tours VB fan like me, paying 3.99€ to see my favorite team was definitely worth it !

    Intersting facts:

    - Most intersting fact of the week is obviously Poitiers's defeat against Ajaccio. The main reason for this result is probably that Ajaccio is playing the closest of its full potential when Poitiers is quite late in its preparation (they had many players and the headcoach, Olivier Lecat being Blain's assistant, at the World Championship).
However there is another reason: Nicolas Maréchal could not play because of a three months suspension. In France, the antidoping agency (AFLD) choose a number of players in every sport (at least the captain, but in Poitiers's case 2 or 3 other players). They have to report where they are going to be (home, training, playing a game, etc.) so that the agency could perform antidoping test out of competition at any time. If they failed to report their location, they are given a warning, and when they are given 3 warnings in a 18 months span, they may be suspended for 3 months to 2 years by the sports federations.
Maréchal was given 2 warnings when playing for Tourcoing, and a third last june.
Now in Poitiers some are questioning the fact that Maréchal case was not proceed by the federation until november. Should the 3 month suspension had been given to the player back in june, Maréchal would have missed the World Championship but not a single game with Poitiers. So this could have been a reason for the late proceeding of Maréchal case: avoiding a suspension of the player for World Championship.
Maréchal stated that back in june, french NT manager Gérard Castan told him he would only get surcease, which is impossible regarding the french antidoping laws.
    - Otherwise the only surprise is Beauvais's defeat against Tourcoing. Proof that Tourcoing is playing quite well despite all the difficulties of the team.
    - As I told you, I've been able to attend the Rennes vs Tours game. Tours won rather easily with very good serves. Rennes has one of the best reception of the championship (especially with Frangolacci and Grebennikov), yet Tours put a lot of pressure on them, David Konecny eventually serving 4 aces in a row (from 21-21 to 21-25) in the second set. If the second ace was a lucky shot (with the help of the net) the 3 others were powerful missiles that neither Frangolacci (twice) nor Grebennikov were able to control: Insane. The team still has a lot of work to play well together, but they are showing so much potential that I can't wait for seeing them against european rivals.

    Next games november, 9th :

    AS Cannes 20:00 Toulouse
    Montpellier 20:00 Beauvais
    Tourcoing 20:00 Rennes
    Tours 20:00 Poitiers
    Ajaccio 20:00 St-Quentin
    Paris 20:00 Sète
    Nantes Rezé 20:00 Nice

  • Wow I noticed that a lot of Frnech players are quite small. There's more than a few outside hitters below 190cm.
