Belgian League 2010-2011

  • Noliko Maaseik wins the last game and is Belgium’s national champion for the 13th time in history.
    VC Euphony Asse-Lennik - Noliko Maaseik 1/3 (23/25 25/20 17/25 20/25) stats

Well deserved win by Maaseik: they were the fitter team last night. Lennik was tired and missed a healthy Krolis (he played part of the game, but was clearly not 100% cause of a leg injury).

Maan was once again a strongholder for Maaseik: great in reception, hurted Lenniks reception really bad with his float servers and continious to prove what a great attacker he is (position 4 and pipe - remember he's libero in Dutch National team). In my opinion, he deserved this season's MVP title (in stead of Depestele)
I also thought Van Harskamp's setting was excellent.
Van de Voorde was really impressive in block and middle attack.
And also Sidibé was on fire.

In Lennik's line-up: Petric looked tired, Van Lankvelt was really poor in reception and attack.
Verhees was a little less dominant in the middle, still some impressive blocks. Together with Van de Voorde, Belgium's middle block compartiment is a no-brainer.

Today, Lennik's coach Alain Dardenne announced he moves to Menen (apparently, he was tired of waiting for a new proposal by Lennik).
Much unclarity about future line-up of Lennik.
