I have tried to use the city names for the state universities in California. UC implies the University of California. The acronyms of the schools in this conference are as follows:

BYU = Brigham Young University (private in Provo, Utah)
UCI = University of California at Irvine (public)
UCLA = University of California at Los Angeles (public)
UCSB = University of California at Santa Barbara (public)
UCSD= University of California at San Diego (public)
USC = University of Southern California (private)

There is also a private school called the University of San Diego (USD), but luckily they don't play men's volleyball. I went to the University of San Francisco, which is similar to USD, while there is a UCSF (University of California at San Francisco) and San Francisco State University. Again none of these schools play men's volleyball.
