Brazilian League 2011/2012

  • Brasilian confederation released the new ranking and new rules for next season.

Things keep pretty much the same.

Now each team can have 3 players ranked 7 (the third must come from a different league), and foreigner players if they change club no longer necessary are ranked as 7, they recieved a rank normally, as if they were any other player in the league. EAch team can have now only 1 foreigner player.

8 players were ranked 7: Bruninho, Dante, Murilo, Giba, Lucão, Vissoto, Rodrigão, Ricardinho

    The hole ranking: http://www.cbv.com.br/cbv2008/…20MAS%20-%202011-2012.pdf

  • And as I putted before in other treat.

Season 2011/12 will have a new team, RJX, with based in Rio de Janeiro, and will have MArcos Miranda as coach.

Another new thing is tht two big teams joined forces for next season!

Cimed/Florianópolis and Sky/Pinheiros had a reunion and decided to become one team next season!!! The thing is the team will kept the base in Florianópolis, and will ahve both sponsors, Cimed and Sly. That measn that the team have already two players signed for next season...Giba and Gustavo. Both have contract with Sky, so they are the new players of Cimed team.

  • Very interesting news from transferthread and RJX-thread...

I think RJX and SKY/CIMED will be the two main favourites for the title next year

    CIMED/SKY: Eder, Bruninho, Giba, Gustavo...

    RJX: Dante, Riad, Marlon, Rodrigao...

    Very nice !!!

  • Hard to say, cause brasilian male league is very exciting, and very close, 6-7 teams can surprise.

Of course these two teams are one fo the favorites, but Im sure that SESI, Volei Futuro, SADA, Minas will also be strong. And tehre is also Montes Claros and Campinas that can surprise....so is hard to say. :)

  • Can someone explain how they choose the ranking, why they give 5 points to a player for example? what's the backgroudn and reason as to how many points a player gets?

  • Can someone explain how they choose the ranking, why they give 5 points to a player for example? what's the backgroudn and reason as to how many points a player gets?

Brasilian Federation is the one that choose that. They analised each player past season development.

But I think is really stupid, I can imagine why you made this question...hehehehehe

  • System sounds retarded to me. What{s it good for? To keep the teams equal or something?

  • Less happy news come from the men's Super League. Another player Vôlei Futuro victim of racism. Last year, the issue hit the middle block, Michael and his sexual orientation. The competitor then received support from both teammates and fans, who like Mario Junior libero, dressed for the next meeting of the league rainbow shirts.
This time the case for attacking Wallace Souza. Supporter of the opposing team (Vivo / Minas) has called the player "monkey", which was met with outrage and protests by both supporters and players. The answer to the club does not have to wait long. The next meeting of two sets of team jerseys przyszykowała: went to the presentation in one of the words "VF against discrimination", and later played a game in the second set, with "Wallace" on the back.

Actually Wallace plays for SADA Cruzeiro, he is an opposite and plays also in NT. And the racist event (terible by the way) happened in the match between Vivo Minas and Sada Cruzeiro. ;)

Then the next game of Sada was against Volei Futuro, and Volei Futuro player were that special shirt to support Wallace, even though they were from opponent team.

Wallace and Michael are different people. Last season Michael, that plays for Volei Futuro, suffered discrimination for being gay in a match between them and Sada Cruzeiro (At that time Sada Cruzeiro supporters were the ones that behave bad). And this year they were the ones, well their player, that suffered the discrimination.

VIVO Minas declared being terifly with the event and supported Wallace as well. CBV still didnt anouced any punishment though.

Last season Sada Cruzeiro had to pay a tax cause of the incident.

Just to make the history clear. ;)

But It was absurd indeed, unfortunetly supporters in Minas (both teams Minas and Sada Cruzeiro are team from the same state Minas Gerais) are the polite at all. And for a long are known to be agressive and stupid.
