Bulgarian Superliga 2012/2013

  • Incompetence is forgivable. Sending you team to lose in Tampere is not. Stoev disgraced Levski

I couldn't agree more. Generally I'm not Levski nor CSKA fan but just can't miss the great defference in the values of the clubs. CSKA played semi-final in CEV-Cup even though the player hadn't receaved their money for more than a year and Levski did what they did in Finland.

Levski died for our freedom. Stoev did whatever he did to put a shame on that great name. Another shame is the loss from CSKA with Aleksandrov, Bratoevs, Tsvetanov and Gaydarski. Ivaylo Stefanov so far is the best player in our championship, which should make the young players work ten times harder just not to feel embarrassed :serve:

  • The second part of the regular season started the last weekend with a few interesting results. I expected more from Neftochimik in Bourgas, they should've at least made it to a tie-break at home, but I guess names in the team and current position in the table are two mismatching concepts for the team. They were unlucky to play away against all the top teams in the first half, now they will do the same to the weaker teams and wait for serious opponents at home where they consider themselves better. However, Marek showed them that what they want and what they show are two different things yet.

The biggest surprise, in terms of scores, probably comes from Sofia where Montana beat CSKA in three. Not easily though, but still. Based on the problems in CSKA plus the transfer of Barutov to Turkey, the "reds" might suffer some more unpleasant moments in the next rounds, but it comes now as no surprise for anybody. The same scenario happened in Kardzhali where Levski, left by the head coach Stoev and Kostadin Stoykov, had troubles, but won in three. That might be the last game with the blue jersey this season for the Bratoev twins.

Also, the Penchev brothers, the younger siblings of Nikolay Penchev, moved to Victoria from the team that invested a lot in them in the past few years Pirin. It smells like some backstage deal between the federation and the Victoria Volley president - no official info, but we all know the story. With the brothers in the roster, Victoria caused a lot of troubles in Razlog and took an important point.

  • What Levski bosses do is textbook lunacy. They should have kept the previous coach who won the cup last year and fight both in European tournaments to advance and to win title and cup in Bulgaria. They sold european matches and their players for the quick cash. No strategy, no thinking whatsoever :aww:

You very well know they don't care about the team's utility and performance. Only about cash. If they are offered to sell a first-round game for 100000 or win the CL and get 99999, they'll always choose the first option.

About Georgi Petrov, you know his relationship with Stoychev and consequently, with Lazarov. Now they'll probably sell Simeon Alexandrov in Russia's second division or, if not, somewhere in Iran or Pakistan and the wheel will turn again. Next year they can get the Penchev brothers from Victoria after they stole them from Pirin and they'll again have some "product to sell" and get commissions from. You know how it's done...

They don't care to think. This is not sustainable business model. They are killing the cow to eat the meat and will die from hunger in a month, instead milking it for 5 years. If you want big profits, invest, develop and achieve, don't sell players cheap

  • Two rounds with mixed results once more. CVC Gabrovo with ups and downs, losing to Arda at home and the weakened Levski away, this weekend they vanquished Pirin in Gabrovo. Neftochimik 2010 disappointed again. They should've taken 3 points in Bourgas against CSKA last weekend. On Friday they failed in Kurdzhali, I think they lost all of their visits to Arda in the past 6-7 years, I really can't remember the last time they beat Arda away. Generally they have problems playing away from home, these problems are even more visible this year. I doubt they can expect much with this kind of display. Montana await Levski and Pirin in the last rounds at home and have quite good chances of reaching the 3rd place.
