Brazilian Superliga 2013/2014

  • I've been kind of busy these last few weeks, but I'll try to update with all results so far later today and then keep updating every weekend. :)
I'll see if I can put together the rosters for this year's league too.

I apologize for neglecting this thread. This season's calender doesn't help either... :wall:

  • RESULTS (SO FAR!):

The other three games from the third round are all set for October 16th:

    Montes Claros - Moda Maringá
    Voltaço - Vivo/Minas
    Kappesberg/Canoas - Vôlei Brasil Kirin

P.S.: Sada Cruzeiro has already played two other games (from the 4th and 5th rounds) in advance in order to better prepare for the Club Championship. In the 4th round, they beat São Bernardo by 3:0 (21/16, 21/15, 21/16; stats); in the 5th, they beat Voltaço by 3:1 (18/21, 23/21, 10/21, 15/21; stats ). Another game from the 4th round has also been played for some reason, in which Vôlei Brasil Kirin beat Moda/Maringá by 3:0 (18/21, 19/21, 18/21; stats). I'll update these in a list once all the other games have been played.

P.S.: We're three rounds in and Vivo/Minas hasn't played any matches yet. I don't know the reason for that. Thankfully, their first match will be held next Wednesday. :cheesy:

  • Third round was concluded today with three games. Results are as follows:

    25/09 Cruzeiro - UFJF 3:0 (21/13, 21/15, 21/11) stats
    28/09 São Bernardo - SESI-SP 0:3 (19/21, 20/22, 10/21) stats
    12/10 Funvic/Taubaté - RJX 0:3 (15/21, 12/21, 16/21) stats
    16/10 Montes Claros - Moda Maringá 1:3 (19/21, 17/21, 21/16, 13/21) stats
    16/10 Voltaço - Vivo/Minas 1:3 (17/21, 17/21, 21/17, 17/21) stats
    16/10 Kappesberg/Canoas - Vôlei Brasil Kirin 3:2 (21/19, 21/16, 13/17, 17/21, 15/10) stats

This was Vivo/Minas' first game in the league this season. Raphael (:cheesy:) was the best scorer with 13 points and the starter squad was Franco-Marcelinho, Raphael-Maurício, Henrique-Bjelica, Lukinha. Filip Rejlek is apparently injured and will be out for a while. The team really needs him, though. This round also marked Angel Dennis' debut with Canoas in Superliga and he ended up with quite a performance, with 18 points.

  • Murilo is expected to be back on court in December! :woohoo: :obey: :cheesy:

  • 4th round:
    07/09 Sada Cruzeiro - São Bernardo by 3:0 (21/16, 21/15, 21/16) stats
    05/10 Moda/Maringá - Vôlei Brasil Kirin 0:3 (18/21, 19/21, 18/21) stats
    19/10 Vivo/Minas - Kapperberg Canoas 3:0 (21/16, 21/18,21/16) stats
    22/10 SESI-SP - Voltaço 3:1 (21/18, 19/21, 21/19, 21/16) stats
    22/10 RJX - UFJF 3:0 (21/15, 21/13, 21/15) stats
    22/10 Montes Claros - Funvic/Taubaté 3:0 (29;27, 21/14, 21/17) stats

    5th round:
    18/09 Voltaço - Sada Cruzeiro 3:1 (18/21, 23/21, 10/21, 15/21) stats
    23/10 Vôlei Brasil Kirin - Vivo/Minas 3:0 (29/27, 21/8, 21/19) stats
    24/10 SESI-SP - Kapperberg Canoas 3:0 (21/17, 21/18, 21/13) stats
    26/10 Funvic/Taubaté - Moda/Maringá 0:3 (12/21, 11/21,18/21) stats
    26/10 UFJF - Montes Claros 3:1 (21/19, 20/22, 23/21, 21/15) stats
    26/10 São Bernardo - RJX 0:3 (20/22, 19/21, 20/22) stats

Not many surprises these last few rounds except for the very easy win of Brasil Kirin over Vivo/Minas. Funvic/Taubaté keeps disappointing and, along with São Bernardo, they remain the only team without a win in the league so far. Hopefully the U23 guys will improve their performence within the next games.

Sixth round will take place next weekend. except for the UFJF - Funvic/Taubaté, which is set for November 9th.

  • Why the hell this topic is so quiet?

Congratulations to Sada Cruzeiro! Wery well deserved title, the fifht for this season! :super:

I'm very happy for El Mago and Eder Carbonera! I really like them both.

I still think RJ, when it still was RJX with all its stars was a stronger team, but Cruzeiro deserved it anyway...

  • I gave up on the championship this year (thus gave up on updating this thread, sadly). Something about the 21-point rule, all the problems some teams had, Vôlei Futuro shutting down and the abyss between Sada/Cruzeiro and the other teams just threw me off.

Anyway, congrats to Sada! I suppose it was deserved. And nice to see Bruno Canuto getting an award! Hopefully a bigger team will grab him next season.

  • Congratulations to Sada Cruzeiro for the championship! :drink:

    Congratulations from me as well.
And thank you, for posting the video. I will watch it in total a little bid later but the athmospere and the level of broadcast are really superbe :obey:
