  • 4th set just about to start, USA leading 2:1

Not a very pretty match so far. Reception for both teams is on a very low level and thats not only because of great services.

Good that Günthör is back. He is having a good match so far.

  • Give us the stats, please, I want to see Samuel Holt/Maxwell Colt'stats :D

You wont like it, but no stats available, i'm sorry

Germany played without Grozer, USA without Anderson (he is still in USA due to personal reasons and will fly directly to Poland)

starting line-up Germany: Lukas Kampa, Jochen Schöps, Max Günthör, Marcus Böhme, Denis Kaliberda, Christian Fromm, Ferdinand Tille
starting line up USA: Taylor Sander, David Lee, Micah Christenson, Carson Clark, Maxwell Holt, Garrett Muagututia, Erik Shoji

Best scorers: Denis Kaliberda (18) Max Günthör (13) , Taylor Sander (15)

Some remarks (not stats based, so......)
    Germany:

    • Fromm got early subbed for Westphal in first set and just came back occasionally
    • reception is a bit worrying, too many errors, even from "easier" serves. (At least 6 faults in second set) It became better with Steuerwald who came in in third set for Tille.
    • Blocking worked quite well, Günthör with a good match. Germany was controlling the wingers, but therefore the door for the pipes were wide open.
    • Grozer got red card (as a sub)

    USA:

    • USA will play better with Anderson as opposite. Not a good match by Clark.
    • Great pipes by Sander
    • Shaky reception but good serves. David Lees floaters were a nightmare for the germans
