  • USA destroying Germans..they r machines

Germany: Lukas Kampa, Georg Grozer, Tim Broshog, Michael Andrei, Denis Kaliberda, Sebastian Schwarz, Markus Steuerwald
    7 aces/ 16 faults, 47 % eff., 17 blocks

USA: Micah Christenson, Carson Clark, Antonio Ciarelli, Paul Lotman, David Smith, Nicholas Vogel, Alfredo Reft
    9 aces/12 faults, 48 % eff, 10 blocks

Best scorers: Grozer (24), Kaliberda (14), Clark (20)

Good that they didn' lose today. That wouldn't have been nice for self confidence.

I am a bit worrying about the reception line. They are making much too many direct faults on reception and if they do, its always like 4 or 5 in a row.....
Christian Fromm didn't get too much playing time as well. I wonder if he is in a good shape. He was an integral part of the good matches on last ECH. The team will need him playing well on the court.

  • Ok, but I'm more curious about Russian backups, I hope that we'll see Pavel Moroz in Poland

It is a sort of friendly tournament, tomorrow Verona will play against Modena for the first place.

  • Wow, Perugia's name is waaaay too long. :rolll: I wish the Modena-Verona game tomorrow were broadcast. I'm looking forward to watch both teams this year.

  • Bulgaria beat Serbia 3:2 as guests with complete newb on the setter position who used the MB's alot, Todorov with 19 pts! From the Serbian side Nikola Kovacevic couldn't be stopped.

Lyubomir Agontsev from Montana, I wonder if he can find a place in main 12-14 next to either Zhekov or Braotev ^^ I see that Bulgaria had here Manchev as backup, so no Zhekov, Dimitrov and Bratoev :what:

anyway, 31 from 128 balls to MBs looks pretty good ^^

  • I don't see the sense of playing even friendly matches while first squad playing with reserve. Is it a problem to check all national teams playing at the same time by reserves, at the same time by first squad? Then result will be more valuable...

Lotman and Clark are so average players. Troy with Anderson will be killers in this season. Hopefully Sander improved his reception because Lotman is just weak.
I'm so sad seeing Kaliberda in such good form after JW ended season about 2 weeks ago. It smells not good/fair but ok...

  • Hey, who's 12 in Serbian team? Looks like Grbic's younger brother but I can't find him on stats sheet.

Todorov with 7 blocks and 19 points generally... Seriously, he's impossible. It will be boring from me but having him and Nikolov in the middle would be pretty much perfect :whistling: And second best blocker Penchev, how cool is that! 8)

Totally impractical question from me but why do Bulgarians have orange shorts? ?( I mean this is completely two different shades of red looking on upper and down clothes.
New season, so we have new outfit to comment, this is not so unimportant, don't you, guys, think so? ;) Anyways, I like new Serbian outfit, a bit "ombre", that shade of blue looks fabulous, nice one. Bulgarians have good-looking jerseys what I can't say about shorts...

Do we have any statistics from yesterday's friendly between Czechs and Iranians?

Zhekov is resting before the ECH, Plamen Konstantinov called 25 players this spring and half of them are the team for Baku - Bratoev brothers are there, with Nikolay Nikolov and others. They will play with Grreece in Sofia today and tomorrow. Agontsev is good, but unfortunately only Zhekov is prolific with pipes and we need pipes with Skrimov on board.

  • Second match Serbia - Bulgaria, again 2:3

    http://www.ossrb.org/sve-vesti…u-sredu-put-u-brazil.html

Stanislav Petkov - Balki and Miroslav Gradinarov played this time, we had less reception thanks to them, but they are both tall and powerful and killed the ball nonetheless. Vladimir Nikolov is in top shape right now. From Serbian side a lot of player tested, everyone contributed.

  • I don't want to be a prophet, especially after only friendly matches but i feel Grbic will not change anything for better... Such big potential and this team will never fight for any final anymore. Maybe each player is so overrated like Atanasijevic, but it's so irritating. I don't know who should become a coach of Serbian guys to make them work better together? Jose Murinho?

  • Why Atanasijevic didn't play at all in both matches?

And well, I do trust in Grbic as a coach. Learned it on Antiga's case ;)

Whereas I think these will be Serbia's new jerseys for the season, I doubt Bulgaria will play whole summer long with this outfit. This model of Asics is old, perhaps 3-4 years old already, and I have rarely seen it chosen as an official jersey. Lube Macerata had this model in white and blue for warm-up kits before official matches. Maybe only Belarussian NT and Ukrainian Universiade team, if I am not mistaken, had it as a first option. What makes me think it won't be the official choice is the liberos' kit, it looks like a practice set to me. I have no idea whether they have ordered a new line from Asics, my opinion is they have.
