  • An epic tournament for the Swiss couple Heyer-Chevallier, they started from the first round of the qualifications and reached the bronze medal. I don't remember the last time when we had such a situation. They even beat twice Cunha-Pedro on the way to the bronze. This, if I am not mistaken, is the first medal for Switzerland in the World Tour for quite some time, as well as the first medal for Sascha Heyer with Sebastien Chevallier. I've always remember Heyer mostly playing with Markus Egger, even though he was successful with Patick Heuscher too, but now we will have to learn the name of his new partner because they were impressive in Prague. I had the chance to watch the bronze medal match, I wouldn't call it great, but entertaining for sure, there were more technical shots than powerful ones.

Also, worth mentioning that Dalhausser-Rogers did NOT win the open in Prague :D Emanuel-Alison now officially appeared as title contenders N1 for the Americans, and with the WCH soon approaching the forthcoming calendar promises to be interesting!

  • I've seen in Rome the two polish guys that "surpised" with their second place, and they were really good. The difference between them and Tomatis-Lupo was huge, even if the italian couple was playing well for his standard! And of course there were polish fans xD I remember I laught with my friend "where is volleyball, there are Polish"

Yeah, I am really jealous you had the chance to watch the World Champ live ;) They have had some very good games together in the last seasons, this second place is their highest achievement ever, but they are young, so I think they will win a World Tour event some day! Mariusz Prudel was the one that seemed more unstable to me last year when I watched them the last time in Marseille, but this year he seems to have improved enough. Normally Poland doesn't have traditions on the beach, but these guys are writing the history for them! But they definitely have supporters everywhere! So, maybe your joke was appropriate :D

Yes, the athmosfere was magic, it was really better than I expected, a lot of people came, at the finals for exemple there were more people then at V-day. And without Italian teams!

I also enjoyed the fact that at the same time were involved male and female (like always in international beach volley tournament)... Whatching the same day Walsh_May-Treanor and Emanuel-Allison was awsome, a dream!

    And it was free-entrance

  • And it was free-entrance

it is FIVB rule to have free-entrance all the time ;) only event on which you have to pay to watch beach volley is Olympic games, and it seems like all tickets are already gone for London

what amazes me every time is how Skarlund and Spinnagr can't play significant role anywhere and then comes Stavanger and they transform into monsters :rolll: :rolll: :rolll: :rolll:

last season finals out of nowhere, this season semifinals with beating world champions in quaters :D :D :D

i would like to find out the reason :teach:
