Swatch World Tour 2011

  • This Swizerland couple did an amazing tournament!!

Yes, indeed! It's their first season together, already made it into a GS final! But they are both experienced, especially Patrick Heuscher who won many medals from World Tour events in his career, I can even say he is one of the legends of European beach volleyball.

  • Quebec Open Jeep 2011, Quebec, Canada

    19 - 24 July

    Semifinals:

    Dalhausser-Rogers (USA) - Santos-Alvaro (BRA) 2-0 (21-15, 21-18 )
    Fuerbringer-Lucena (USA) - Gibb-Rosenthal (USA) 2-0 (21-17, 21-14)

    Bronze medal match:

    Santos-Alvaro (BRA) - Gibb-Rosenthal (USA) 0-2 (20-22, 19-21)

    Final:

    Dalhausser-Rogers (USA) - Fuerbringer-Lucena (USA) 2-0 (23-21, 21-19)

  • An important tournament for Dalhausser-Rogers in order to keep title chances alive. A lot of big names were missing in Quebec, they obviously preferred to prepare in Europe for the Polish Grand Slam this week. Everyone arrived in Poland already, so maybe the finals of the most important tournament in the World Tour this summer are coming this weekend in Stare Jablonki, let's see whether taking a break or playing some international volleyball turned out to be the better strategy.

  • Fijalek-Prudel won't be play in Klagenfurt because of Mariusz Prudel injury.

That's bad news! They are in great shape and this injury might spoil the great season they are enjoying so far.. I saw they are registered and even put into the main bracket as third-seeded, but if you say so, I guess it's true..
