  • It's been surely more than 12 years since France last got World Tour gold. Three former and recent indoor volleyball players made it to the semis in the absence of most of the Tour's favourites - Nikita Lyamin (Russia), Theodore Brunner (USA), Edouard Rowlandson (France). Teams from China, Greece and Turkey (Zhang-Li, Ha-Bao, Kotsilianos-Zoupanis and Gögtepe-Giginoglu) with quarterfinal berths in Xiamen.

  • Second title for Canada in World Tour's history after Child-Heese's win in Berlin back in 1996. For the first time ever we have Chilean medalists. Also, Canada with two podium places for the first time.

  • The World Tour 2014's ultimate stage. A great season finale for Nummerdor-Varenhorst. A team to watch out for in 2015. I was delighted with the progress shown by the Chilean cousins.
