2014 FIVB World Grand Prix

  • I've heard Yang won't be ready to play before the 3rd Week and

SK NT wouldn't call a back-up player, so, I think it's very possible Bae would play as MB.

as for Sa-Nee Kim, I don't think she retired from NT.

    It seems her new club, IBK didn't want to let her go due to some reasons we don't know:;

  • Puerto Rican roster for upcoming week is exactly the same as it was for 1st weekend
    S: Mojica, Valentin
OP: K. Ocasio, Morales (also MB)
OH: Cruz, Enright, Rosa, Venegas (false OH for defence/reception in back row)
    MB: S. Ocasio, Oquendo, Torres
    L: Seilhamer

  • No news about Maja Poljak playing for NT in Poreč :/
TV channel in Croatia confirmed broadcast for Grand Prix :)

  • Does anyone knows USA, Turkey and Japan roster for 1st week ?

"Lo sbaglio più grande e quello di credere di aver vinto prima ancora di giocare la partita"

  • Japanese roster for WGP 1st round.

    S : Nakamichi, Miyashita
    OPP : Ebata, Shinnabe
    MB : Yamaguchi, Ohno, Nagaoka
OH : Kimura, Takada, Ishii, Ishida, Uchiseto
    L : Sano, Tsutsui

  • USA roster for week 1

    S: Alisha Glass, Courteny Thompson
    OP: Kelly Murphy, Alex Klineman
OH: Kristin Hildebrand, Kim Hill, Kelsey Robinson, Cassidy Lichtman
MB: Lauren Gibbemeyer, Foluke Akinradewo, Tetori Dixon, Rachael Adams
    L: Kayla Banwarth, Nicole Davis

    Lloyd + Naz + Wołosz + Hanke + Smutná + Mori
    Bokan + Zakrievskaja + Bricio + Vilponen + Jupïter + A.Lazić + Stepanova + Marković
    Onyejekwe + N.Dimitrova + Crkoňová + de Kruijf + Truškina + Thibeault + Omelčenko + Schauss
    Rourke + Bošković + Fabris + Kajalina + Collar + Simić + Miklai + Vasilantonaki
    Courtois + Venegas + Gaído + Castillo + Gómez + Kiselyova

  • I wanna see Larson in Brazil! Hope she joins the team next week :D :D

  • Well, not very useful but Gizem Karadayi is the only person I saw that tweeted that she is in Ankara from the Turkish NT so far: https://twitter.com/gzmgrsn3/status/494741352203444224

According to her other tweets, Eda and Dicle are out for the 1st week. However Eda tweeted 2 hours ago that she is in training. All these sound really strange.

  • what about Turkey's roster? not clear yet

weird, we know even Japanese roster and still no info from Turkey :what: anyway Dicle definitely won't play, becasue they didn't change anything in FIVB roster after Eda's replacement by Meliha...

if list from this link is correct then we'll see
    S: Naz, Gamze, Asuman
    OP: Neslihan, Seda (also OH)
    OH: Gözde, Neriman, Güldeniz, Seyma
    MB: Bahar, Büsra
    L: Gizem K., Merve

IMHO it's weird list, 3 S and only 2 MB  I hope that they called Asli or Ozgenur additionally ^^

Bronze medal - World League 2012 Prediction Game

  • That's a good attempt Kondzio, thanks! But I think the most unknown part of the roster is MBs. I dont even think that Busra's place is guaranteed. I'm sure one of the setters will be out and I guess that will be Asuman. I also think Seyma should be out because I dont see a difference between Guldeniz & Seyma since both are not able to kill but get in the court to receive. For MBs, I hope both Asli & Özgenur will be there instead of Busra.

  • Turkey's roster for first week:

    S: Asuman Karakoyun, Gamze Alikaya
OH: Gözde Sonsırma(C), Neriman Özsoy, Meliha İsmailoğlu, Güldeniz Önal Paşaoğlu
    OPP: Seda Tokatlıoğlu, Yeliz Başa
MB: Bahar Toksoy Guidetti, Kübra Akman, Özgenur Yurtdagülen, Büşra Cansu
L: Gizem Karadayı, S. Merve Dalbeler

  • Turkey's roster for first week:

    S: Asuman Karakoyun, Gamze Alikaya
OH: Gözde Sonsırma(C), Neriman Özsoy, Meliha İsmailoğlu, Güldeniz Önal Paşaoğlu
    OPP: Seda Tokatlıoğlu, Yeliz Başa
MB: Bahar Toksoy Guidetti, Kübra Akman, Özgenur Yurtdagülen, Büşra Cansu
L: Gizem Karadayı, S. Merve Dalbeler

Is Naz out? :what: so Meliha instead of Seyma, Yeliz instead of Neslihan, moreover Kübra and Özgenur joined team :wavy:

Bronze medal - World League 2012 Prediction Game

  • Short news from Russian team - Natasha Malykh will play as starter in the 1st round in Ankara, Obmochaeva hasn't made a good shape to play starter so she mostly likely will be staying at bench. Shlyakhovaya is out of roster now and the starters would be Podskalnaya and Zaryazhko.

about Turkey - To me it's a big surprise that Neslihan and Naz not playing at home  Unless they're injuried or not available to play...
