Never in my life I thought I would see the day when Russia loses a set to Bulgaria (with all respect to this Bulgarian NT which is playing very well)
Well get used to it because these girls are on fire. They might even take the match .
Russia 1-2 Bulgaria
VASILEVA
-
Oh god! finally the block moved a bit to left and Voronkova hits out. I really don't like her attacking, it feels like she a very limited window to attack and she uses it only to attack blindly to zone 5. I wonder why opponents persist on blocking her parallel while she simply had no kills from parallel attack this tournament yet

Can I too become a volleyball coach in Russia?
-
Are Bulgarians playing really good or Turkey and Russia playing bad? I don't really get it

what do you mean bagher?
I hadn't realize it's called like that only (I guess) in Italian, since it's not an Italian word...
It's the fundamental you use for receiving, digging, passing. Does it have a name in English? -
I agree Harrison. All 4 teams in this group play chaos volleyball. Thats why you see absurd sets like 25-11 and then reverse. If they meet a team with proper system like Italy and Serbia, I think they will have serious troubles.
Ushakov is a joke

IT is called bagher in english. The game you play is called "bagherball" to warm up in trainings.

@meatball only Serbia is high level team. Italy lost 25:10 from Croatia..
-
In Serbian we call it "čekić" - hammer. Which is kihda funny I guess because doing it is the exact opposite of hammering the ball, but hey.
Turkey must like this development. I do think they'd have it easier against Bulgaria in the possible QF match than Russia. Still, it's along way for them to go, of course.
On the other hand, the AZE vs RUS QF match... Ouch!

Same in Turkish

We actually experienced the same up downs, but we are blocking worse than probably all the teams of this pool...IT is called bagher in english. The game you play is called "bagherball" to warm up in trainings.
Thanks! -

It is from Turkish origin, çekiç
In Turkish bagher is manset though.

I will repeat this again, the best Russian setter is still Startseva. I told it in the beginning of this summer too and now it is proved again. Both Filistinskaia and Kosianenko are retarding their team.
-
i think it will be much better for russia to face italy than serbia in the semis? im just assuming russia will lose this match and win against germany
-
That was an ugly choke by Bulgaria. They should have closed this set out.

Do you see in the future to know Serbia and especially Italy will be in the semis? -
When Vasileva in the back and pressure is on things got bad for BUL. Nobody could kill a single ball suddenly. Vasileva is still the only truly reliable attacker for BUL.
