I dont know witch girls played for Vilsbiburg..

Parma couldnt count with their foreigner players (Gorthues, Kovalenko and Kenny Moreno), that are with their NT, and also Okaka, that is injuried, so they had to play with two setters, improvised.

This was Katja Wühler´s fairwell match. Every player of Vilsbiburg got a chance to play, except Mona Elwassimy, Liana Mesas Luaces, who is injured and of course, Lenka Dürr who is with the NT.

The day before this match, Vilsbiburg lost a friendly against Zeiler Köniz 3:2. Mona Elwassimy was the setter in this match. Captain Lina Meyer did not play against Köniz.

On the day Vilsbiburg played against Parma, Zeiler Köniz and Parma had practice together.

I find it quite remarkable that volleyball is SO poorly followed here, France and Spain at least have professional leagues for Men and Women (full of foreign players, I accept, but still…) yet in Britain it is amateur only. The level is improving every year but even the top teams have no spectators. Hopefully the Olympics will help things, but I'm not holding my breath.

Basketball is much more popular and there was (and maybe still is) a professional mens league, and there is a professional netball league for women.

On 22 and 24 June Italy will play versus Volero Zurich in which will play ex Carillo and also Players from loan as Calderon, Alajbeg and Sazina.

Italy Nt made a friendly match against Volero Zurich today. Italy won 3x0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-16)

Montenegrin National Team will play a friendly tournament in Romania,Piatra Neamt,our volleyball federation announced. The tournament will be held from 24th August to 26th August and another three teams will participate: Romanian NT, and 2 Romanian clubs from 1st league,Stiinta Bacau and CSM Bucharest !
