FIVB World Club Championship 2016

  • So it's official - Manila wil host the tournament this year. 8 teams will participate: Pomi Casalmaggiore, Bangkok Glass, Rexona-Ades Rio de Janeiro, All-Star Team from Philippines and 4 wild cards.

  • No African team?? No North American team??
4 wild cards is just too much!

  • If Fenerbahce keep Kim They won't have money to buy Wild Card lol.

Curious if One of rich Chinese Clubs will buy.

  • This is happening because of Olympic year.

  • I don't see connection between the Tournament and Olympics.

I think it's good that FIVB gave 4 Wild Cards. Clubs which will buy the Cards will have also money to build good Teams and level will increase a lot.

  • A very weird but here's a real world... you must pay to play :-) ha ha ha... highest bidders for those wildcards... so, even for the complete list of participating clubs we'll have to wait... it takes some time to clear the mud

And this happens in the sport sector... yet it's a public secret in FIFA, IAAF even in IOC :olympia: .. I have no wonder about these kinds of practices (pay for play) in the commercial/economic/financial/banking sectors... but in sport... yeah yeah, we do live in the 21st century :cheesy: :cheesy:

“There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen.”

  • Vakifbank gets the 3rd wild card
2 Turkish teams already...4 teams from Europe out of 7...

nice to see Zhu Ting there!!!
can anyone list the best line-ups for each existing team in this tournament....i cant help estimating the possible champion.

i may not be the tallest,
    the fastest, or the strongest,
but at least i can do one thing better than anyone else,
    to be me...

  • Last card will go to one of the Russian team maybe

  • I think that It will be Tianjin or Hisamitsu Springs

I'm not too sure about the participation of Russian clubs, but I hope it would go to Dinamo Moscow. I would like to see Goncahrova in person :cheesy:
