Stralsund - Münster 0:3 (16:25 18:25 23:25)

MVP: Enning (last year in our 2nd league team)/ Hindriksen

Münster with some problems at the beginning of the 3rd set (Timeout 5:11). But they managed the game still in 3 sets... :cheesy: :win: :dance6: :drink:

Especially in the first half of the first set and in the finishing stage of the third Münster was not completely convincing, but at least they avoided a set loss opposed to Potsdam and especially Vilsbiburg.

Once again nightmarish attack stats for Potsdam's MBs :S Potsdam was leading 22:19 in 4th set and then just gave the match away with a series of errors; also in 2nd set they didn't use two set points.

I don't understand the Potsdam setters. Why did they use them so often ? Why didn't the coach change it?

IMO the problem isn't that they use them, but HOW. Gründing and Svobodnikova surely aren't the most impressive middle hitters of the league, but using them with super slow balls that allow the opponent to prepare block and defense easily makes them look way worse than they are.
On the other hand, Lisa Gründing's blocking skills are just amazing. She has a very unique way of really grabbing the ball over the net very aggressively :box:

Injury situation in Stuttgart got even worse: today also Pia Kästner, our second setter, was out of play, while Daalderop didn't return yet into playing team. So four of our players were out today; as emergency backup setter Moggy Wlk from second team was there (but not used in the match)...

Now that the stats of Aachen-Suhl are finally available, I'd like to point out the performance of Tessa Polder: 13 attacks with 100% :white: :obey:
Sure, it was "only" against Suhl, but still it's very impressive. I watched only the first set of the match but already there I noticed that she attacked very well.

This weekend the quarterfinals of DVV Cup will be played, all matches live on www.vbl.tv:

Sa, 25.11.17 17:30 Dresden - Potsdam
Sa, 25.11.17 19:00 Wiesbaden - Suhl
So, 26.11.17 18:00 Vilsbiburg - Schwerin
So, 26.11.17 18:00 Münster - Stuttgart

Judging from the recent performances, the semifinalists should be Dresden, Wiesbaden, Schwerin and Stuttgart, but in all matches surprises are far from impossible. The DOL for semifinals will take place after men's QF match in Berlin on Saturday.

The first two matches ended as expected: both Dresden and Wiesbaden won in four sets against Potsdam respective Suhl. The draw had the following results for the semis:

winner of Münster vs. Stuttgart plays at home against Wiesbaden

Dresden plays at home against winner of Vilsbiburg vs. Schwerin

So the most likely outcome is the repetition of last years final Stuttgart vs Schwerin, but of course both have two win two matches before to get to Mannheim again.

Today the last two quarters are to be executed: Münster vs. Stuttgart and Vilsbiburg vs. Schwerin.

Stoltenborg has established a very good connection with all her attackers now and plays very fast balls. Sandor today plays like in her best times.

Schwerin won the 1st set against Vilsbiburg from 19:24 down.

With an amazing fighting spirit, Münster manages to take Stuttgart to tie-break after being down 0:2 sets and trailing for most of 4th set. Very enjoyable match to watch :super:

What a heartbreak ;( Münster was leading 11:7 in tie-break and then couldn't score a single point anymore :white: Hindriksen insisted on setting Lena Vedder who had the smallest blocker against her but still couldn't score, and the two balls she finally set to Bathen were first blocked and then out :S
No doubt Stuttgart was technically the better team and objectively deserved to win, but I'm really sad that Münster wasn't rewarded for the amazing fight they put up.

Indeed...11-7 --- > 11-15...as Teun Buijs always says: this can happen only in women's volleyball

Very good fight by Münster... :!: :!:

I'm glad to see Nika on court again after her injury.

I'm wondering when Stuttgart's new opposite will be on court for the first time...still injured

He always said that after his team lost in a stupid way :D
Did he take the time-outs in that tie-break or decided to wait? :D
