And apparently Dresden is very upset, they took it for granted that quarterfinals would be cancelled as well.

I think this is the best solution, with Köpenick gone it would already be clear that every team except VCO would at least be in the pre-playoffs, now there will be a real fight for 8th place. Quarterfinals are very important for all the teams except Schwerin, Dresden and Stuttgart to keep the season interesting even when it's clear they can't finish 4th after regular season.

And every team less means two less match days in regular season, roughly the same a playoff round best of three needs regarding time (two weeks). So this eased things up regarding league round and playoff schedules. Playoff dates will be published very late, near end of league round, but the "risk" is very high, that the three CEV cup participants Stuttgart, Dresden and Schwerin can put at least one into semis, so playing schedule collisions are not unlikely, if there is not enough seperation of the matchdays in playoff.

Michelle Petter leaves Suhl.
And she joins Dresden as 2nd libero behind Myrthe Schoot :white: That comes quite as a surprise for me...

Mareike Hindriksen signs in Münster
And they have also found their 2nd setter: Katja Kylmäaho from Finland.

I don't know how accurate this is, but the homepage of SC Potsdam lists Drpa, Kecman and Acosta in the team roster which seems to be for next season: http://www.sc-potsdam.de/volleyball-bund…m-1-bundesliga/

Drpa and Kecman are sure for the new season. Acosta leaving.

Jonas Kronseder is the new head coach of Schwarz-Weiß Erfurt.

I think he would have been better off staying in Vilsbiburg

It seems he wanted to develop something new and IMHO Erfurt has real potential for the future. And on the other hand, Vilsbiburg is a rather small city, but Erfurt not, maybe this have also to do with it something.

She's a setter. Look at the number 1 in yellow.

It seems to me, that Vilsbiburg means it rather serious this time to improve. If it was wise by Stuttgart to let Pettke go is questionable IMHO.

Thanks, I didn't even notice that :D

Denise Hanke two more years in Schwerin and then she'll be 30, I don't expect her to leave then either...

By the way: studying the very good, professional and far-fledging masterplan of the VBL I discovered, that internally it is worked on a limitation of non-domestic players in the league. Results should be ready until 30.6.2018 and likely being applied for next season 2018/2019 - obviously the limitations can't be to harsh due to the too few available suitable domestic players in the league. Probably they will do it similar to Italy, where in A1 limits for foreigners of each team on the court were agreed upon teams. A hirement limitation would violate the Bosman sentence.

Yes, she is kind of married with her club. I'm not sure, what will happen first: Suhl going down from 1. league (I think this will happen in the next few years) or Claudia Steger ceasing her career - I doubt, that she woiuld play for any other team; especially not for Erfurt (for reasons).

That's funny: Lenka Dürr joins in CSM Targoviste, a good Romanian team, for example Louisane Souza-Ziegler also coming from Schwerin and head coach Hernandez from Stuttgart.

If anybody is surprised: Lenka Dürr prefers to play abroad, and that's the main reason for her to leave Bundesliga again I guess.

In light of the plan to introduce limitations for foreigners in the league and minimum numbers of domestic players active in every team this behaviour is clearly not helpful, but will happen anyway...
