i may not be the tallest,
    the fastest, or the strongest,
but at least i can do one thing better than anyone else,
    to be me...

Edited once, last by pappi ().

  • This decision and choice is without sense for Me.
If Japan don't want to send the Champion, They should withdraw and give the chance for example to second chinese Team Evergrande.

  • if its allowed, why not? 2 chinese teams to take part in the tournament should be quite fun...lol

if we assume like this, the matter might be more reasonable: AVC would like to encourage JVA from a negative influence through the disaster as soon as possible, and considering the JVL was not complete, so the club desicion seemed not compulsively the top ranked teams.

but imo, a lower ranked team from the sencondary league is abviously not satisfied by most of us... :bump:

i may not be the tallest,

  • I hope Federbrau is not the Thailand's NT only for this tournament like last year because if yes, it will be next joke in the competition.
What about the Club from KAZ? How many Teams play in a League there?

  • In this league are playing 12 teams. More information is on the site volley.kz, but all is in kazakhstani and site in english doesn't work.
Zhetyssu's roster in this season here: http://volley.kz/pages/sections/s2rus0s2.shtml (in kazakhstani)

It's not possible, only host country can field 2 teams when less than 8 teams take part, (AVC rule)

IS there any link for this tournament?

    oh sorry

they will put the results and reports on AVC site, but always a little late

  • vietnam defeated japan, 3:0. vietnam is a strong team in this competition. no wonder philippines were demolished mercilessly :) :(

  • Bartek, Thailand used their NT roster again to fight for a club title...this time their sponsor is changed from Federbrau Bank to Chang, probably the domestic beer brand "Chang Beer" which is also well know over the world wide.

Chang Team includes Onuma, Wilavan, Malika, Nootsara, Pleumjit, Amporn and libero Piyanut, completely 2010 Championship roster...

but check the FIVB info, it is regarded as all the players in Thailand NT from the same Club called Chang last season.

    http://www.fivb.ch/EN/volleyba…sp?Tourn=WGP2011&Team=THA

but in what formation, the players transfered to other clubs last season, three of them are in China, Onuma in Russia and the rest in Azerbaijan and Turkey.....quite weird.

i may not be the tallest,

    Tianjin Bridgestone (CHN) vs Zhetysu Almaty (KAZ) 2-3 (15–25, 25–20, 25–21, 18–25, 13–15)

Tianjin Team is not entirely competitive for this edition, three main players (first setter Wei Qiuyue, second setter Mi Yang, main spiker Chen Liyi training with China NT) are not in list. Yin Na was called back to the club couple of days before the start of the tournament to make the roster up to a total number of 10 players...
