    One final tryout match will be held today and teams will select the player at approximately 18:30 KST.

    Madison RISHEL (IBK) and Alaina BERGSMA COBLE (KGC) have both renewed their contract with their respective teams for another season. So only 4 out of the 24 tryout participants will be able to play in next season.

  • who are the final 24 players?

  • Click the 3 links underneath 'List of Tryout participants' in my previous post. 8 players in each link.

    Thank you! Is the ranking normal draft rankings? What do you think the chances of Yeliz Başa and Ceren Kestirengöz's chances?

    I'm not sure what you are asking in your first question but I guessed from the tryout draft result it answered your second question.

  • Free Agent mid Round 2 update.

    - IBK Altos (5 players) : KIM Sa-Nee (S) - Retired, NAM Jie-Youn (Li) - Re-signed, KIM Hee-Jin (OP) - Re-signed, CHAE Seon-Ah (OH) - Re-signed, PARK Jeong-Ah (OH) --> Korea Expressway.

    I wasn't surprised that IBK signed YEOM Hye-Seon from Hyundai since KIM Sa-Nee announced her retirement but I was however surprised with IBK Altos recruitment of KIM Su-Ji. I thought GS Caltex would have went after KIM Su-Ji since they are a weak in the middle.

    I also was surprised with Heungkuk signing KIM Hae-Ran even though their libero HAN Ji-Hyun was awarded this season best libero. In fact I thought it might have been hard for her to find another team because all the other teams re-signed their libero player after FA Round 1 plus she is getting older. I was also surprised Heungkuk didn't re-signed KIM Su-Ji during Round 1. She will be a major lost for Heungkuk as she was their best blocker and was the second highest Korean scorer behind LEE Jae-Yeong.

    Hyundai signing of HWANG Min-Kyoung (OH) from GS Caltex was obvious since they needed to strengthen their OH position.

    PARK Jeong-Ah moving to Korea Expressway will get them addition fire power in attack and defence at the net.

    Only Hyundai JUNG Da-Eun remain unsigned and I not sure if she will find another team even with 5 days left of Round 2. Afterward she still has one more round to negotiate with Hyundai otherwise she is released an no teams can recruit her until after 2017/2018 season.

    Now that most of the transfers have been settled we will have to wait and see which player will be given as compensation by the recruiting team to the team that lost a player.

    Sources: 1, 2, 3, 4.

  • I agree, it is definitely a lost to Heungkuk for letting Kim Suji go. She was one of the team pillar in 2016/2017 season. Looking at the current set up, i would think IBK is going to dominate in 2017/2018 season.

    Compensated Players for Transfer Players

    - IBK Altos : NAM Jie-Youn (Li) --> Heungkuk (for KIM Su-Ji), KIM Yu-Ri (MB) --> Hyundai E&C (for YEOM Hye-Seon)

    - Heungkuk Life : YOO Seo-Yeun (OH) --> KGC Ginseng (KIM Hae-Ran)

    - Hyundai E&C : HAN Yoo-Mi (OH) --> GS Caltex (for HWANG Min-Kyoung)

    - Korea Expressway : GO Ye-Rim (OH) --> IBK Altos (for PARK Jeong-Ah)

  • Trade/Transfer

    - Hyundai E&C traded KIM Yu-Ri (MB) to GS Caltex for HAN Yoo-Mi (OH). So HAN Yoo-Mi remain at Hyundai E&C and KIM Yu-Ri will move to GS Caltex instead of Hyundai E&C.

    - KGC Ginseng traded KIM Jin-Hee (OH) and MOON Myoung-Hwa (MB) for GS Galtex HAN Song-Yi (MB) and SI Eun-Mi (S) (Apparently SI Eun-Mi was on loan to KGC Ginseng from GS Caltex.)

    After the compensated player transfers was completed I had expected that Heungkuk might have want to trade NAM Jie-Youn (Li) with KGC Ginseng for MOON Myoung-Hwa to replace KIM Su-Ji but now that MOON has gone to GS Caltex I would not be surprise to read tomorrow that Heungkuk have traded NAM Jie-Youn (Li) for HAN Song-Yi (MB) instead.
