Its the Olympics, its the biggest stage you can have for the sport. Yes, you do have to think about quality, imagine an unforgetabble Games, with so many competitive teams...that would call so much attention for the sport. Fans watching every single match...
Not even telling the qualification system punish many times countries that really invest in the sport.
EDIT: Just to set my opinion about this...
I guess what everyone is questioning here is not reallt who qualifies in the end...but how the Qualification system is done....Its unfair. It does not give the same chances for the teams to Qualify.
I mean, we are all talking about Europeans, but what about this protection that there is with Japan, everytime the Qualification Tournaments being there. And I won't even remember you guys what happened last World Qualification tournament, that they completely stole Germany vacancy in London 2012. The hole thing is just ridiculous.
Seriously? Japan went home with Bronze medal at the end of OG. Germany wouldn't even make it to the quarters of that tournament. At the end of the day, Europe was represented by the best European teams and they all failed in OG. What's the point of adding more teams from that continent?

Maybe because the strength of a tournament is not just based on who goes home with a medal. By your logic, the only teams who should have gone to the OG are USA, Brazil and Japan. European teams at least have a chance of beating these teams (Serbia just beat USA and Japan at this WC), Algeria or even Peru have no chance. Why wouldn't you want the OG to be more competitive and played at a higher standard?

The only good thing Japan did there was beating China.. Turkey and Sebia had to play Brazil, USA, China, Korea and each other.. and Japan played Russia and Italy others were easy matches

Alisha is setting pretty bad.. All slides have been blocked, Foluke twice and Harmotto once. In the front they scored every ball they were set. USA should think about that. Also Russia is using their block by hitting high so they should also try not to reach high, but over and players should try and defend closer to the serving line
