  • About case of spots in WGP 1st Group- maybe FIVB just doesn't see Thailand in WGP as a kind of punishment for this what they did in WCH :wavy: it gives us clear 12: Brazil, USA, China, Japan, Belgium, Serbia, Russia, Belgium, Turkey, Germany, Dominican Republic and Thailand ^^

you missed Italy but i understand from two "belgium"s
poor thailand NT won bronze medal in the asian games at a expense of the FIVB pumishment of sending Team II in WCH.

i may not be the tallest,
    the fastest, or the strongest,
but at least i can do one thing better than anyone else,
    to be me...

  • I like this a lot :)
division 2 is now much stronger and division 3 will be interesting but level of game will be low but i like it :)
Every team can go in final four ..can't wait <3
    Croatia <3

  • This tournment is quite strange. First of all, 1st group fixture was already released many weeks ago. Belgium replaced Dominican Republic, like all we know. Someone knows why Czech Republic and Croatia were promoted to 2nd group? I think it is a good idea, because the level of these teams isnt for the 3rd group, however, if i am not wrong, only the winner of last year third group got the promotion. It means, only Bulgaria.

It is supposed Bulgaria replaces Cuba, isnt it? Because Cuba was the last 2nd group team. Why Peru is also in 3rd group if they finished in a better ranking than Canada? I dont think Peru deserves to be in 2nd group, but i have never read last two teams of 2nd group go to the 3rd. And as I said, the last one are Canada and Cuba.

    Finally...what happened with Dominican Republic?

  • The World Grand Prix next year will be at the same time with the Panamerican Games.

I guess that is why Dominican Republic decided not to play the WGP. Wtih USA and Brazil probably sending B teams to the PAnamerican Games...they have better chances...I guess they though that worths more than playing Group 2 in WGP.

  • By looking at 2015 calendar on FIVB's website, probably Korea will be withdrawing from WGP as they will host XXVIII Universiade.

So I think Dominican will play in 1st Group of WGP 2015 instead of Korea.

  • The information that we have is that Korea is out and Dominican Republic is in

Dominican Republic will be in Group I

I can not share the source of the information, so consider it an unofficial information.

  • Like we said before, Dominican republic will be part of Group 1....Here the news

No, no, according to the August's draw of lots the host of the last tournament was unknown. Seems it's going to be Germany after all. Which I'm very happy about :)

  • Some changes in WGP hosts...Brazil will now host Pool D, and Pool A will be hosted by Thailand.
