We knew it long time ago...

yes, i remember you mentioned Mirador has qualified weeks ago....
with the breakthrough for DR in Championships in Italy, the rising young players deserve a position in Club Championship.

but i dont think the result will be good for the dominicans .
apparently, the three europeans and south americans will easily reach the semifinals.

    thankgodness, no africans

i may not be the tallest,
    the fastest, or the strongest,
but at least i can do one thing better than anyone else,
    to be me...

  • Eczacibasi Vitra Istanbul won the ECL title !

    Pools

A: Rexona-Ades (BRA), Mirador (DOM), Volero ZURICH (SUI)
B: Hisamitsu Springs (JPN), Dinamo KRASNODAR (RUS), Eczacibasi ISTANBUL (TUR)

  • i read De La Cruz may have to rest for 6 weeks so Zürich and Rexona Ades are the fav. teams for the cup..( they were already amongst the fav. teams even EcV with De La Cruz of course)

    which teams are your fav.??

I think Rexona and Krasnodar. I can't see Volero beating those two in a possible final...

  • i dont know about Rexona much this season but i think Zurich playing in playoffs6 of the CL can beat Krasnodar..better than Krasnodar

In 2013, Rexona easily beated Volero in the semifinals and took a set from Vakifbank (by far, the best team in the world back then) during the group phase.
The final match was won by Vakifbank in straight sets but two of them were close...
And back then, Rexona had not even practiced with Mihajlovic at all.
I mean, after such an amazing season this year and having solid players, including Gabi and Natália at their best, I think they are a few steps in front of Volero. But we'll have to wait and see...

  • Rexona has a big problem, Fofão condition.

Rexona if reach semifinal, will have to play 4 days in a row, and Fofão coesnt have the condition to do that anymore. So Roberta will be needed.

From what I've heard, Rexona will play with Fofão in first game against Volero and try all for the win. Roberta will play against Mirador. So Fofão can rest one day....but still with games in a row the next days its hard to know what condition Fofão will have to play. Im sure she will do her best, but if reception doesnt work, will be a big problem for the team....so I guess we will see.

but Volero is not that Volero..they are now a much better team....

  • my guess :

    Pool A :
    1. EcV :D
    2.Krasnodar

    Pool B :
    1.Volero Zurich
    1.Rexona Ades

the standings can change in pool a and b too..

    Final:
    Rexona - Volero Zurich..

btw.. what about Hisamitsu? are they a strong team ?

    btw... what about

  • btw.. what about Hisamitsu? are they a strong team ?

They have Brankica, right? But I heard she was injuried in the end of the season...and the team lost the finals after being a two time champions in the past years...
