    The Playback- Round starts on the 4th November with its last matches on 18th November. That means that many strong teams, such as Asystel Novara or Foppapedretti Bergamo have to get along with some substitue players because a lot of their players are in Japan due to the WorldCup.

    Bergamo scrape through
    Milan hosted Bergamo at the Palalido in the third round of the Italian cup and made it really difficult for the European Champions who only scrape through at the tie-break. Trailing a set down, Milan did not panic and took the two successive sets, as the absence for Bergamo of Rosner, Barazza, Lo Bianco and Piccinini showed, only to lose in a tight tie-break 18-16.
    It’s another defeat after the one conceded on Wednesday against Santa Croce but the performance was encouraging.


    There is no stoping Bergamo in this first month of competition. Not only are the European Champions top of the league after four games but they are now also top of their Italian Cup group, having won three games in as many games. After Santa Croce and Forli, it was Milan’s turn, in their Palalido, to surrender to Micelli’s girls. Next for Arrighetti and co is Forli away on Saturday at 8.30pm.

    And Gruen is just amazing, really...she seems to play better in the most difficult moments....for me she is one of the best players in the world cause really...she can play in any position...opposite, OH, middle, she has a good reception..her service is amazing...her deffence has her full heart all the time...and even make the most important points...is not afraid of decision....

    Pesaro has a better team right now.....and beat easily Busto...I don't know...maybe Busto felt the fact they never had passed for this...this kind of championship...But also Pesaro played really well....Sheilla is coming back playing well...Guiggi and Furst, what a couple...Ferretti is playing so well....and Costagrande and Mari are doing really well too, specially Costagrande...Mari is still mading some mistakes in reception...but always spiking well....


    But although all that I hope Foppa wins!!!!!hehehehehehe

    It is a pity Pesaro couldn't beat Bergamo again, like they did in the last match and in the entire year of 2007. Especially because Pesaro was leading 23-22 in the 4th set and 14-11 in the tie-breaker. Anyway, it is comforting to know that Pesaro fought until the last point and again, the match was decided only in the extra points of the tie-breaker.


    What makes me really happy is Sheilla's performance. She scored 28 points and she seems to be gaining her previous form. Mari's performance in reception was pretty good too. I hope they could improve even more to help Brazil's team in the Olympic Games.


    It is amazing that all Pesaro's defeats so far were in the tie-breaker in the extra-points. In other words, even when Pesaro loses, it is almost a victory! The girls are definitely on the right track!

    I'm happy about that. Unfortunally, I was unable to see the match, again. I hope to see it soon.
    I found a website where somebody upload matches of Foppapedretti (http://www.truveo.com/search.php?query=Foppapedretti&uqs=), and I'm looking on youtube right now to find the Coppa Italia's matches. Maybe it's too early to whatch the last game. But I try anyway.
