SuperLiga Women's Brazilian 2008/2009

    Hi Rainbow...dont worry about it....of course I explain..is kind of hard to understand indeed...hehehhe


    WEll...there are 12 teams playing Superliga...this teams are splited in 2 groups...that are above..if you want to see...


    The Superliga is splited in 4 fases at first...and tehn 8 best teams passed to play off...with quarter finals (best of 3 games), semifinals(best of 3 games)..and Final (just one game...that will be played in Maracanazinho in Rio...no matter the teams that get in Final)


    In the fases...victories give you 2 points..and loosing 1


    1º FASE - the teams face the other teams from their own group! The best from each group Play one final...the final of The Fase....so...the only objective of this..is to win more points...cause..they will play one more game then the other teams...the team who wins wins 2 points for the General classification...and the one who loose wins 1 point.


    2º FASE - You play against the teams from the other group! And again the best teams from each group Face each other in a Final of the 2º Fase


    In this finals...the Team that has the best score in the FASE (not in general classification)...have the chance to play the final at home.


    3º FASE - Again you will play against the teams from the other group...but now..if You played at home in 2º FASE...now..you will play away, again have a Final between the best teams


    And 4º FASE - you face again the teams from your group...but again...if you played at home in 1º FASE...now you play away...


    Is basicly the same...of playing in Turn...and return...at the end...cause..you will face..all the teams from the championship home and away...the difference..is that you add 4 more games to the championship...cause have the finals of each FASE....the reason they did this..were to make the Superliga more interesting..cause have the finals..and they worth points to general classification...


    In Playoffs..is the same as any other championship...They will pick the 8 best teams in General Qualification....and make 1º x 8º, 2º x 7º, 3º x 6º, 4º x 5º....winniers face each other in Semifinals...and then Final

    2º FASE - 6º round

    I think the system of the league is so confuse, that it makes me lose a bit of "pleasure" to watch it...
    I don't really understand it, but at least the final results (1 to 8 position) sounds a bit more fair than everyone against everyone.

    So the each fase final is just for increasing the league interest, right? Because there are 8 out of 12 teams to go to the playoffs. It is not so hard to be in playoffs.


    Can you help to give a ranking list after 2 rounds for each fase? It is close to end of regular season. I am interested in who will be 3º x 6º, 4º x 5º. These matches will be fierce.

    If I'm not mistaken the only foreigner player is the Cuban Indre Mestre..that plays for Mackenzie/Cia do Terno

    I just heard Rexona-Adesense team. They had played in a special tournament. Do you have to follow the Brazilian league match of? League of the quality, taste how the course of the match? ?(

    The superliga seems like a natioanl team (Rexona) vs another national team (Finasa). :whistle: Other teams are just there and accompanying them. :wacko:

    Kidding...actually this season has São Caetano that signed with Fofão, Mari and Sheilla...everyone was expecting them to come strong..but they didnt start well..so..now they are running after...but I beleive till playoffs thay will come stronger....
    The expectations in the beggining of the season..is that Rexona would end this year in third...cause they didnt invest as much as Finasa or São Caetano..actually Fiansahave everything to be first...cause even the players in their bench could be on starting six..of other teams...but lets see.how it goes...Rexona dont have a big team...but has a great coach...that is Bernardinho...witch makes the team competitive too...

    Yeah..on teh beggining of Superlgia..the expectations were to see Fiansa first..São Caetano second..and Rexona third..but Bernardinho..always makes a incredible work..so...Rexona started pretty well...

    Fernanda and Virna..did signed with Rexona...but Fernanda wont play...just if Dani Lins or Betina get injuried...Rexona only signed with Fernanda..cause they dont havea third setter..and cause Superliga rules..only alowed to write someone for the club till that data...so..they decided to do that as a precaution...For Virna...seems to be a alittle bit different...well..first reason was too..cause one of Rexona's OH (Michelle) had a problem...so..Rexonastaff was a fraid to be without a OH...so..they first thought of Pirv (Giba's wife...)but she was stopped for to long..so they decided to try to bring Virna..Michelle is write already..but looks like Virna is comming to get inside the team..she is even already trainning with the girls!

    Wow, nice to hear that Virna will be playing again. The younger players will probably learn a lot from her.
