What a pity that Burgos and Palma couldn't play with their foreigner players because transfers problems...

Tomorrow final will be Murcia-Menorca :win:

    EDIT: I add the statistics

  • Popular TV will show first semifinal (CAV Murcia - Universidad de Burgos) and the final of Supercup this weekend.

Thanks so much for the info!!! What time is the final???

  • Thank you so much for all the information!!! :) Unfortunately I won't be home to see the game live, but hopefully I will get to catch the 18:45 showing on Popular TV. Fingers crossed!!
BTW, I just looked at the teams' rosters and I was really surprised that so many English-speaking players play in Spanish league, hehe :D In general there are a lot of foreign players, which I personally didn't know.

Yeah but on the other hand it was really interesting to see Ana Ramirez as OH and Sara Gonzalez doing backrow attacks :D
Romina Lamas played fantastic once again. I really think she is one of the best setters in Europe now.

I was actually pretty impressed with her during the European Championships. This was the first time I ever saw the women's NT from Spain and I thought Romina Lamas was really good. And I think the entire team played a really good tournament. Hey, they almost won with Poland in that first game! LOL No offence to the Spanish team, but I would have taken that reaaally hard :D

  • Unfortunately I didn't get home on time, which is a pity, because it sounds like a great game! Thanks so much for the pictures!

They'll upload whole match on youtube in few days... I'll put it here
I think Murcia has a good team but they can play better than today. They trained together just 3 or 4 days... I think they need one or two more players, specially for bench but, the tv commentators said Murcia probably will sign them soon. (I don't know why but I thought in Maggie Glinka in this moment. I wish  )
Menorca has a good team too. I hope they can advance in CEV Cup to next rounds. Sandell played quite good today.

That would be fantastic, thanks!! :) I would love to see at least parts of this match :)

  • I think Menorca's main weakness is Ana Paula. Moy is mainly a receiver, so they need an Opp who can attack better than Ana Paula.

It's amazing that Rivera managed to score 29 points between working on her hairstyle and pulling down her shirt all the time :rolll:

I think Ana Paula could play better than final match. I saw her 2 years ago in Aguere and she was fantastic. She jumps a lot and attack strong but she don't make points... I hope she'll do better.

I know you like a lot setters. What do you think about Yoraxi Melean (Menorca's setter)?

  • Well last year German team Schweriner SC had signed Ana Paula but they released her before the season because she didn't have the necessary level to play in 1st league (these were the words of the club). I also hope she will do better, but I think she doesn't move very well overall.

I think Melean is pretty good, not as good as Lamas but good. I think in this match she was really frustrated with referee decisions. It looked like there still were some connection problems between her and some attackers, but on Murcia side it was even worse. These problems will soon get solved as teams practice more together though...

  • Maybe Italy have strong league but here is beautiful leauge about Players from World. Especially Haro Rioja with Queen Nzenawa from Nigeria :) Congratulations Spain - Players from :

    Brazil,
