  • Tayyiba Haneef denied Lokomotv Baku`s offer,but signed with igtisadchi Baku.



    Tayyiba Haneef who agreed to play in Lokomotiv Baku,denied the offer of Azeri Vice Champions and signed a year contract with another team of Azerbaijan-Igtisadchi Baku.
    Igtisadchi Baku will participate in the European GM Challenge Cup.
    Tayyiba Mumtaz Haneef-Park,diagonal player (born March 23, 1979- 200 cm) is an American National team ex-player. She is a silver medalist of Beijing Olympic Games 2008 and World Championship 2002.

  • Those players did not go,they were made out because of their manager who did " great job" for that! He is just.... That`s why because of his fault all of his players had to "pay".
    No one of them wanted to leave Azerbaijan.

    they didn't need to go, but club will not pay them any more, they could live from air in AZE.!!!

  • Alice Blom is also in Igtisadchi Baku!!!



    Igtisadchi Baku builds a very strong team for 2010/11 season and signed with the member of the Netherlands National Alice Blom who spent her last year in Turkish Fenerbahche Acibadem.
    Alice Blom is an outside-hitter who was born in 1980. Her height is 178 cm. She won silver medal of the European Championship in 2009 and became the champion of the "World Grand Prix" in 2007.
    Blom also won Turkish Championship gold medal,Turkish Super Cup and Cup, in the European arena she won the silver medal of the "Indesit European Champions" league with Fenerbahche Acibadem. She will be the first Dutch player in Azerbaijan Superleague.

  • Super transfer! Yuko Sano in Azerbaijan!!!



    Transfer bomb!!! Flying baby-Japanese amazing libero Yuko Sano signed with Igtisadchi Baku for the next game season. It is one of the best transfer news that realized in Azerbaijan Superleague.
    Yuko Sano (1979,159 cm) is one of the best,top class liberos of the World. She won different titles and award in the International Arena.
    This will be the second libero transfer of Igtisadchi Baku. Before Sano,the team resigned with another great libero-Thailandese Wanna Buakaew,who was the best libero of the last season of Azeri Superleague.

    Lokomotiv Baku signed the setter of Slovakian National team for next season. Smak`s transfer will be the second setter transfer,after Bulgarian National team member,Evelina Tsvetanova.
    Monika Smak (1973,181 cm) played in France,Poland in different clubs. She has played for Slovakian National team for a long time. It will be her first experience in Azerbaijan.
    Monika Smak took part in the camp of her new team in Cyprus. Another setter Evelina Tsvetanova will join the team after FIVB World Grand Prix 2011 Qualification round,where will participate Bulgarian National team.

  • This year there will be 6 teams in Azerbaijani Superleague. Two teams-Tahsil Sumgait and Tovuz were not allowed to play in Superleague,because they don`t have teams strong enough for Superleague.They will play in the First Division where will play 10 teams. A new founded ambitious team Shirvan Goychay will replace Tahsil Sumgait in Azeri Superleague.

  • [b]The Azerbaijani Superleague starts on the 25th November.



    The Azerbaijani Volleyball Federation announced the start date and reglament of next Super-league season.
    First day of the Super-league will start on the 25th of November. The Super-league main phase will consist of two rounds,5 tours for each round. The best four teams in the ranking will continue their way to the main prize.
    These teams will play two rounds of the "Play-off" phase among each other. After these rounds the first team in the ranking will face the fourth one,and the second team will compete with the third one. The winners of these pairs will be known after the "Best of three" (two wins).
    The winner will play in the finals which will be played till three wins with the formula "Best of Five". The losers will meet for the bronze medals with the same formula.
    The last day of Azerbaijani Super-league is the 10th of May.

  • "Nagliyyatchi" changes its name to "Baku" VC



    The Azerbaijani Superleague participant,Nagliyyatchi" has been renamed to "Baku" VC from this season.
    Adnan Kistak`s team,which finished 5th last season will play under new name from next game season and will play its matches in the new hall of Baku.

  • Innovation for the Azeri Superleague.



    The Azerbaijani Volleyball Federation decided to organize two more leagues of the youth of the Superleague teams.


    Every team which will participate in the Superleague has to present two teams Under 14 and Under 18 for the League of Youth. The matches will be played a day before the Superleague matches.
    Azerbaijani Superleague starts on the 25th November.
