Brazilian League 2011/2012

    I guess I was mistaken for the Volei Futuro x Minas game, it was not balanced at all..hehehehehe I didnt see the match, but looks it was very easy for VF.


    I went to Unilever match against Praia Clube, and I think the time since end of year made very good for the team! It was the best match I see this season...All players were fighting, defending, Sheilla played really well!!!! Specially in service!


    And Hooker finaly amde her first complete match for Osasco.

    A bad new...the OH Priscilla Daroit, one of last season revelation, suffer an injury in her knee in the end of december, and will have to stay some months away from the courst....she had a parcial break from her knee ligaments, and her bone in the knee suffer a fracture after she felt rom block in a match 22 december. :(

    yeah, but MAri didnt make a bad game at all...the problem is that she didnt stayed much time inside court...hehehehehe Everytime Unilever made a big sequence of points, while she was out for Fabi, maily cause of Sheilla serice..hehehehehe but she did a good game over all.

    I just saw the first set between Minas and Osasco, but seems Minas finaly showed what they can do, diferently of the match they did against Volei Futuro. Beated Osasco 3x1! Of course Osasco is missing setter FAbiola, she is injuried, and only come back in one month, so she will loose the matches from this first round. Another new from OSasco is that looks like Ju Costa wont go to Azerbaijan anymore, she wrote in her twitter, that there are some thing more important then money, so she decided to stay.


    Another surprise was Volei Futuro game, they won but had quite hard time against Pinheiros!!!


    Unilever played a little bit worse then last match, but the team is improving, but definetly reception is still a problem. Libero Fabi felt sick during the game, due the hot weather, cause they played in Tijuca gym, not Maracanazinho, and Tijuca dont have air condition system, as Maracanazinho, and today was quite hot! :S But she played the hole game anyway. In the end of the match it was really funny, cause Bernaridnho and Fernanda younger daughter, Vitória, stayed walking around the court, dancing with the songs from Dj, and made Bernardinho dance with her..really cute moment! ^^

    I watched a bit of Minas - Osasco match, and I have to say Herrera is a very impressive player. She won the third set almost on her own ! I also noticed that Hooker is a bit out of shape it seems, and was at the bench sometimes.

    Hah, I saw that all player were sweat during the game. I must say that Fernanda was playing really good compering to Ossasco setter ( in the game against Minas). Hooker - what a play in defense and attack, she and Jaqueline made a really good game. But I didn't like Thaisa, their setter really doesn't know how to use her. I think that Sheilla also had some health problems due to a hot weather, because she was really sweat and pale.
    Fernanda - that women knows how to use her middle-blockers and OP/OHs.


    Yes Herrera is impressive! She is playing really well! She is the biggest scorer in Brasilian league so far. A reporter said she is happier this year, cause she could take her family and her husband out of Cuba. She is definetly the big star of Minas.


    Sheilla is with a problem in her sholder...seems a quite serious one, but she is playing anyway. Fernanda is using her better I think now, they two seem to have find the correct time of the ball, also with Mari. With the good reception, Fernanda can make the game really easy for Unilever, I would say impossible to stop it. But Unilever do have a reception problem, and that is it. Natália was in the game yesterday, outside of course, she is no longer using the protection in her leg, so hopefully we will be able to have her in the end of season.


    about OSasco, yes, Hooker still definetly out of shape, but is normal, it was only her second game with the team. Karine is not a so good setter, but she can play better than what she did yesterday. Anyway, beside that she also dont have much time playing with Hooker, so...it is a natural process that Hooker will grow here with time. Jaque is playing really well...she is the best player in Osasco so far.

    Osasco seems to be having a lot fo problems with injuries...first FAbíola, she will ahve to stay out till Playoffs looks like, so OSasco signed with he setter Eth. She is 42 years old! She played with Luizomar many tiems already, in Flamengo and Campos, so maybe there is the reason..


    and today Hooker wrote in her twitter she is with a problem in her wrist..she wrote:


    "Volleyball fans I will be ok. I have a fracture in my right wrist w/ some swelling in the bone. Just keep me in you're prayers. Love you all"


    She didnt say how long she will stay out, and eather OSasco said anything about it yet.


    Also Osasco fans saying maybe she is having problems outside court, due her boyfriend, or something like that, dont know right....When I read more about ehr injury or if OSasco say anything...Ill put it here...

    Osasco seems to have really bad luck, this season...I think it's not good for Brazilian League, because it will be very easy now for Unilever to become champion :teach:

    WEll, though Im Unilever fan..I think OSasco still ahve a good team. Since Ju Costa didnt leave, they can play with her as OH and Tandara as opp...and things dont change much. And also there are rumors they can try to sign with another foreigner opp???? Lets wait and see... I think a big problem will be FAbiola for them.


    And still Volei Futuro is playing really well....I prefer to wait..hehehehehe


    Anyway, Im not hooker fan, but ITs always sad to see a player getting injury..I hope she gets well soon....also cause it is year of Olympic Games, and 4 months its a long time to recover... :S
