    Nice article :)

But ' one of the best, if not the most promising talent in Dutch (Women's) volleyball ' ?? ;) The two most promising talents play for other Bundesliga-clubs ---> Dresden (de Kruijf) and Schwerin (Buijs). ;) But ofcourse I understand Koslowski to say it ^^ :win:

  • By the way..Laura is the 12th :!: Dutch player in Bundesliga for 2011/2012-season. :!:

  • German league cancelled the cooperation with CPM24.tv, so there will be no more live broadcasts until they find a new TV partner (which is very unlikely to happen...)

    NOOOOOOOOOOOO ;( ;( ;( ;( ;( ;( ;(

I want to see all our Dutch girls playing    :( :( :(

  • It was just a matter of time, already last season there were a lot of problems with the broadcasts. CPM24 had actually bought the rights for 3 seasons but our league says they couldn't agree on common goals so they cancelled the contract. It's the same shit every year, nobody wants to show volleyball. Basketball league, handball league all are on TV, just volleyball fails

well, you are right, its always the same old story :S . Its like that for decades and i am even tired of complaining. Imo, the best thing we had, was spobox in 2009/10. Everything for free and all the matches in the archive. CPM24 was crap. I remember myself, not only once, sitting in front of my laptop, expecting to see a vb-match and what was on the screen? LORD OF THE F*******G DANCE??????

The DVL nowadays expects a lot from the clubs concerning better sports halls, more professionalism and so on. But with that kind of short term (non) contracts, they don't put the clubs in a good position. If you are in negotiaitions with sponsors and concerning tv and media, the only thing you can say is: "well, there might be something on the internet, but actually we don't know where and when......", then this is really a sad story.

Maybe we should accept that volleyball in Germany will never be a "tv sport" ?(

  • Robin de Kruijf will arrive tomorrow in Dresden, by train. She wrote on twitter :win:

  • Dresden, Germany, September 30, 2011. “We want to take the national league trophy from Schwerin and bring it back where it truly belongs, Dresden”. With this announcement the head coach of DRESDNER SC, Alex Waibl, addressed the fans and representatives of the sponsors that had got together at “Sachsengarage” for the official presentation of the team that this year will also debut in the CEV Volleyball Champions League. “As far as the national cup is concerned, we want to end up playing the finals in Halle and once you are there, you definitely want to take home the trophy. As for the Champions League, our goal is to give a run for their money to all of our opponents and make it to the 1/4 finals” he added.

To the remark that many flashy goals can be announced on stage, Chief Executive Dr. Jörg Dittrich responded with a sympathetic laugh. “Schwerin and Stuttgart have already announced that they want to be Germany’s champions. Why should we hold ourselves back?” And Alex Waibl added: “If you want to achieve a goal, you also have to formulate one. Competitive athletes have to be able work even under pressure. On top of that, we have a team that can actually achieve these big goals”.

This season’s budget of 1.05 million € isn’t yet complete. 85,000 € are still missing, but the DRESDNER SC is on a good track. Yesterday the top sponsors all signed symbolic new contracts, whereas beer producer Wernesgruener was presented as additional partner, just one more reason to get involved with the always faithful fans. The supporters also used this occasion to take some money out from their wallets: over 50 full year tickets were sold at “Sachsengarage”, and including pre-orders, more than 80 season tickets were sold on the first day they went on sale. The new Super Year Ticket (info at http://www.dresdnersportclub.de) was also another item discussed there.

"Lo sbaglio più grande e quello di credere di aver vinto prima ancora di giocare la partita"

  • Dresden, Germany, September 30, 2011. Judith Pietersen radiated like the sun as she recently met with the staff of the “Morgen Post” to enthusiastically describe her first few days in Dresden. While walking through the Grossen Garten, we wanted to find out why the Dutch blonde decided to come to Germany to play for DRESDNER SC.

“There are many reasons,” explained the 22-year-old opposite player. “The club has a good reputation and the fact that they are joining the 2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League is an additional bonus. I had heard of Mareen Apitz, Kerstin Tzscherlich and Friederike Thieme, and my teammate from TVC Amstelveen Robin de Kruijf signed for this club shortly before me. Of course we discussed this move together. Altogether I just had a good feeling about it, so I decided to come to Dresden”.

Judith used her first weekend in Dresden to move into her new apartment and tour the “beautiful city” with her parents. Pietersen, a national team player who has seen action in 22 international games but just missed the cut for the European Championship, started training with her new team this past Monday. “It’s been fun meeting the team, and I really like the gym,” said Judith after her first time in the Margon Arena. “I’ve seen photos with a lot of fans, and I’m excited for that. In Amstelveen I think we had only about 200 supporters”.

Judith was Dutch champion twice and won the Dutch Cup twice with TVC Amstelveen. When asked about her goals with DRESDNER SC, she answered as fast as a gunshot: “I want to be German champion”.
