Germany - DVL 2011/12

  • I think he has 4 daughters ;) but you probably mean Natascha, she is playing in 2nd league for FTSV Straubing. They are currently 10th in 2nd league South division, although they have several good players (also foreigners from CZE and SRB) and a very experienced coach Mathias Eichinger who in the 80s and 90s often worked together with Andrej Niemczyk. I can't really tell much about the team, maybe Raven knows more.

  • I know of two sisters of Natasha. Malgorzata and Saskia. Don´t know if there´s another sister.

Andrzej Niemczyk is Straubing´s assistant coach, but was temporary taking over as head coach, when Matthias Eichinger was sidelined because of problems with his blood pressure. Meanwhile, Eichinger is back in the saddle. It´s right, that they´ve worked together often in the 1980s and 90s. Eichinger started his coaching career in Lohhof as assistant of Niemczyk.
Niemczyk was head coach of German NT from 1981-1989. Eichinger followed him and was head coach from 1989-1990.

Also, don´t follow the team very much, so i can´t really say much about them either.
The team´s struggling a bit, because of injuries, but won the last match against VC Offenburg 3:1.

Playing for Straubing 2011/2012 are (not sure if you know any of them, but i´ll post the roster anyway ;)): Katerina Pillerova, Patricia Hofmarksrichter, Valeria Fedosova, Vesna Vukajlovic, Natascha Niemczyk, Mirijam Fauser, Albnora Ismaili, Verena Hillmeier, Katharina Mühlfeld, Martina Novotna, Daniela Friedrich, Veronika Stolkova, Mira Heimrich.

  • Kinga is the daughter of former Wisla Krakow volleyball players Christina Mioduszewski and former Polish NT player Henry Maculewicz, the biological father, however, is Andrzej Niemczyk. Was she adopted?

She is married to Enrique De La Fuente.

Schwerin wins the northern derby with Hamburg and stays in touch with Dresden and Vilsbiburg. After 9 consecutive victories at home, Köpenick loses against Münster, but the situation for playoffs remains the same because also Wiesbaden and Stuttgart lost today.

Next weekend, Sunday 4th March, 13.00 CET live on http://www.laola1.tv the big Cup final Schweriner SC - Rote Raben Vilsbiburg

  • Kinga is the daughter of former Wisla Krakow volleyball players Christina Mioduszewski and former Polish NT player Henry Maculewicz, the biological father, however, is Andrzej Niemczyk. Was she adopted?

She is married to Enrique De La Fuente.

As I remember, Krystyna is her biological mother... Kinga only learned Niemczyk was her father as adult. It became public a few years ago. In the late 1970s, Krystyna Mioduszewska played for Poland NT until her pregnancy. Coach of NT at that time: Andrzej Niemczyk.

  • Kinga only learned Niemczyk was her father as adult.

For me it was always clearly visible in her face :D She looks very similar to Andrzej and to her sister Malgorzata.

Does anyone know what happened to Lisa Thomsen in the match against Busto Arsizio?

Good question, I also noticed that she suddenly disappeared from the pictures of CEV Cup match and apparently wasn't there for handshakes after the match...but there is no info about it anywhere.

Bad news for Vilsbiburg: 2nd setter Mona Elwassimy can't travel with the team due to tonsilitis, 2nd libero Anna Pogany due to ankle injury. Renata Benedito injured her shoulder in training and it's not sure yet if she will be able to play...

I wish both teams can play with their best players, then it should be a great match.

  • I will not be able to watch the Cupfinal on Sunday :wall: :wall: :wall: I need to go to a f*cking birthdayparty... :( :( :(

Will anybody record the match from Laola? I would be very grateful :obey: :flower:

  • I will be in Halle,so sorry can't recorded the match for you...:D

:D do you want to make me even more jealous?

Yes, I know you will be in Halle, Marieke :win: Please make some nice pictures :teach:

  • Lisa is obviously back in practice...

Well, this is indeed bad news for Vilsbiburg, but i hope it brings out a "now more than ever" feeling in the team. Vilsbiburg has great fighting spirit and never give up, so i wouldn´t write them off yet.

  • 50 Dutch people, friends and family of Anne and Teun, are driving by bus to Halle. Cupfinal is really spectaculair I heard?? Can you tell me more??

I was there 2009 and will also be there tomorrow. It is spectacular, yes. I mean, the size of the building, the number of people in there, the atmosphere... It´s a great experience and, imo, every volleyball fan in Germany and/or for example Netherlands, France or whereever should at least be there once.
